She sighed and ran her fingers through her hair.
"No I'm not getting married" she said for the umpteenth time
"Then how can you be pregnant?" He asked
"Well, you know... er" she had nothing. She had no explanation to give
"No I don't know, that's why I'm asking" Sky says and she sighs
"Fine. The truth is that Santa gave me this baby" she said, a frown immediately gracing her face. Santa? He's eleven, not a dummy. She thought to herself
"Coco, I'm eleven, not a dummy" Sky said and she nodded
"Just what I thought" she muttered to herself
"How can Santa give you a baby? Santa don't give no babies, Jesus do" He said and she raised a brow at him
"What kind of grammar is this? Santa don't give no babies? Jesus do? Aren't you listening in English class at school? Speak properly okay?" She says and he rolls his eyes.
"Alright, alright" he said, getting down from the stool by the island "I'm just going to go watch TV now before that lesson guy comes to bore me to death with school work" he says already walking into the parlor
She had not allowed Sky resume school yet as he hadn't healed from the surgery yet and just got him a home tutor to help him move along with his class. His exams were coming soon so he couldn't afford to miss studies.
She let out a sigh and sat down on the stool that Sky had been sitting on.
"You'll really take care of my brother's treatment?" She asked and Marrina nodded with a reassuring smile
"All of it." "Even sponsor his education" she added and Raelyn bit down on her lips softly as she came to a decision
"I'll do it" she said, trying to sound firm
She let out a sigh as her fingers went through her hair, pushing it back.
"48 hours to make me bow to you. Do whatever you can but prepare to lose because I, Raelyn MacLean does not bow to anyone, especially not spoilt, arrogant, mannerless business men like yourself"
"I must be crazy. Totally crazy" she muttered to herself, covering her face with both her palms with her elbows propped up on the island table.
Her ringtone suddenly rang through the room, making her put down her hands and pick up her phone. It was an unknown number.
She hesitatingly picked up the phone and put it to her ear. "Hello?" She spoke first
"Miss Raelyn MacLean?" The person asked
"Yes, who is this?" She asked
"I'm calling from Ohio state hospital, we have a Mr Jerry MacLean and a Mrs Trisha MacLean here" the person said and her lips parted open as her heart beat became rapid
"What?"
"We found your parents" the man said more clearly and the phone dropped from her hand.
