"Coco will be down soon, you can wait here " a uniform clad Sky says leading Zyaire into the living room

"Alright, thank you" he says with a smile, sitting down on the couch and Sky nods before walking away to the kitchen to finish his breakfast.

It's only a brief 3 minutes before he stands up when he hears footsteps down the stairs and sees Raelyn coming down, her eyes glued to her phone.

She was dressed in a blue slightly baggy shirt_ that hid the developing bump of her stomach_ paired with jeans.

He walks up the stairs to meet her and collects the phone from her making her look at him in surprise.

She didn't realise he'd come in and thought he'd be waiting in his car or outside the door.

"You shouldn't come down the stairs when you are not attentive. What if you miss a stair and fall? I don't want you hurting yourself" he says calmly and for a second, the kindness and care in his voice takes her unawares.

For a second.

"Oh...I was just checking..."

"It doesn't matter what you were checking or how many seconds you looked away for. The point is you could hurt yourself and possibly the baby because your focus is divided" he says and she nods

"Sorry"

"It's okay" he smiles and she does so too

"You look nice today" He compliments even though he'd rather she wore something that showed off her bump.

Since she started growing a belly, he couldn't help but glance at it every time they were together. He wouldn't have the chance to now that her shirt was hiding it well.

'Th..." she trails off, her eyes running down his body

"Wow" she murmurs

"What?"

"You're not wearing a suit today. I never seen you in normal clothes before" she says in awe, looking down at the plain turquoise shirt he had paired with blue jeans and a single gold chain, his hair in the same updo he wore everyday_ a small bun.

"You look so good" she praises

"Oh..." he says, looking down briefly with the rub of the back of his neck before meeting her eyes "Thanks" he smiles

"It's fine. I wish I'd see you more often without a suit, you look so serious and scary then" she says and he chuckles

"I work a lot, I'm rarely out of my suit" he says and she nods

"That's okay, I like a hard working man" she says and he stares at her, the silence making her want to take her words back the moment she said them

"I mean...I...it's...um...we should go" Raelyn stutters, not sure what she wanted to say

She just hoped he didn't take her words the wrong way. She meant nothing by it.

"Yeah, come on" he smiles, helping her down the stairs despite her polite refusal

"Sky, come on. You'll be late for school" she calls

"Coming Coco!" He yells from the kitchen trying to chow down the rest of his breakfast quickly

"It's a long drive, you can get some shut eye if you want" Zyaire says as they drive out of Sky's school parking lot and head towards their initial destination
