"Come in" Zyaire says absentmindedly in response to the knock on his door
"If I remember vividly, someone was supposed to pick me up at 2 from the airport today" An English accent fills the room as the door opens and Zyaire looks up to see the man who'd been by his side for nearly 6 years and going.
Blyth Blackwood.
"Blyth" Zyaire acknowledges with a grin, getting up to go and receive him
"It's good to see you again Zyaire" Blyth smiles, hugging Zyaire briefly but warmly
"Finally back huh?"
"Finally back" Blyth confirms with a smile "So what'd I miss?" -
"Wow, so it's over? For good?" Blyth asks and Zyaire nods
They'd driven to a coffee shop to talk and catch up on both their lives, Blyth giving Zyaire the chance to go first.
Zyaire tells him all about the highlights of his business life before moving on to briefly explain the situation with his father's health, the getting of a baby and the dissolving of his relationship with Marrina.
"For good" he confirms with a small smile "I guess it wasn't meant to be after all. It was tiring trying to find happiness in someone who didn't really care at that time" he shrugs "I don't think she's a bad lover, I just believe I wasn't the one who was going to make her a good one"
"Understandable. Well I'm happy you chose to be happy. I'm sure you've taken the best decision" Blyth smiles "But tell me, who is this other woman who has managed to steal the heart of the stone cold Zyaire Zimmermann?" He asks and a smile pulls at Zyaire's lips at the mention of the dark skinned woman who'd been on his mind a lot
It'd been two weeks since the day they shared their first kiss and things had been going fairly great with them and he was certain their relationship was headed on the right path.
"Her name's Raelyn. Raelyn MacLean" Zyaire informs, liking the roll of her name off his tongue
It was the name of the woman he was sure he was in love with after all.
"Wait, it's the same woman who's pregnant with your child? The surrogate?" Blyth raises a brow in part surprise
"I am inclined to believe that is the case. If she's got you smiling like that even in her absence, she must be quite a woman" Blyth chuckles, sipping of his coffee
"Shut up" Zyaire laughs
"Well I certainly can't wait to meet her and I can't wait till you're a father" he smiles
