Silent cry

Thirdy's POV:

Caleruega Church, Nasugbu Batangas, 4:30 PM on Jho and Nico's wedding. Everything is perfect, the ceremony is just starting, flower girls and ring bearers are just behind us the groomsmen. I stood beside Tyler and watch the kids walk down the aisle, I can't help but smile upon watching these kids stealing the show because of pure cuteness.

"Hey" Tyler lightly punch my arm and mused sideways, i followed his gaze and saw her walking, very beautiful and sophisticated in her lilac colored empire dress that let her collar and arms seems to be so delicate , tulips on her hand and smiling, her smile, her eyes, her lips. The way she walks, the way she moves is making every part of my being alive. I just can't take my eyes off her, para akong ibinalik sa Iloilo 6 years ago, on that beautiful sunset wedding we had, her in simple white dress, with a yellow gumamela clipped behind her ears and smiling while fighting the tears in her eyes. I wish I could live in that moment forever, if only i could go back.

"We are gathered today to witness the start of a beautiful journey of Jhoana and Nico as husband and wife."

That brought me back to the present, only to realized that I am still staring at her while smiling.

"Ehem" napalingon ako sa gilid ko and found Tyler suppressing a laugh. "What?" I ask with irritation, "Para kang timang, parang gusto mong kidnapin ah." Sabay tawa uli ng mahina, "Bwisit ka, mind your own nga." lalo lang siyang natawa sa akin, pasalamat talaga ito na nasa kasal kami, kungdi kanina pa ito nakatikim sa akin.

"Ok, let us hear it from the maid of honor naman, Miss Bea De Leon, please."

As the host hand her the wireless mic, eyes were all on her, cameras rolling and soft whispers were exchanged.

"Few years ago, I left the country not just to take my masters degree in London, but also to start a new life, away from home, away from friends and family and Jho and Nico are both a family and friends. Last year Nico called me, telling me that he is planning to propose to Jho, he was too excited and telling me how scared he is that Jho might give him the answer he can't hear. Natawa ako sa kanya noon, telling him that Jho loves him so much she can't say no to him. Tapos natahimik siya, In my mind i saw him smiling from ear to ear. That day, nasabi ko sa sarili ko na 'damn, my bestfriend is one hell of a lucky woman!'.

"You see, love is not easy, what more if you mix it with marriage? But I know that Jho and Nico has always been strong, individually and as a couple, i know in my heart that whatever happens, they will still chose to love each other and fight for their marriage. To you two, please don't you ever make me regret coming home. And when things gets messy, I know that you love each other too much that you will always choose to forgive and trust that your love is bigger than all the challenges. Well thats how love should be right? Yung pipiliin mong magtiwala at maniwala na hindi ka kayang saktan ng taong nagmamahal sayo. I love you both. I will always be here for everything that you need me to be of help. Here is to your life as one, always chose to love, always chose to trust and forgive. Cheers!!"

Thirdy's POV:

I was watching her the whole time, after offering her toast, she immediately proceed on the way to the bathroom.

The program is still on going, people are starting to get to the dance floor. The band playing the right song. Ah, this night is just perfect, she is perfect. And I wanted to take this perfect moment to finally come to her.

I walk to the garden where I last saw her. And find her puffing a cigar, while sitting on a wooden bench.

"Ehem"

She turned to my side, I was expecting her surprised reaction but nothing came. She just let a small smile and look at me as if waiting for me to start a conversation.

"Kamusta?"

"Ok lang, ikaw?"

She said while killing the cigar's lit. She move and talk as if we are some kind of acquintances, parang wala kaming masamang tinapay sa isat isa. Parang wala kaming pinagdaanan noon. I don't know what gotten into her that she is giving me such treatment. But if she likes it this way then Im totally fine with it.

"Nag smoke kana din pala ngayon? Ako din pag minsan."

"Occasional din lang ito. Medyo inaantok na kasi ako, jetlag siguro. Ayaw ko naman umalis ng maaga, kaya ito."

She look at my direction again and tap the space beside her.

"Come sit with me, you want?"

Hindi ako nagsalita and sat beside her at kinuha ang sigarilyo niya na halos nangangalahati na. Humithit ng dalawang beses at ibinalik din sa kanya.

"Ahhh, thanks to that."

She just nod her head again, saka tumingin sa malayo, then there was a moment of silence between us. My mind is blowing right now. Hindi ko alam kung nananaginip lang ba ako o totoong hinahayaan niya akong makalapit sa kanya ng basta ganito nalang. I am honestly not expecting this to be this easy but I am not complaining either.

"Stop staring at me, Thirdy. If you want to say something, just say it."

I was taken aback sa sinabi niya, shit Am I really that moron to be loss in tgis moment just because of watching her. She let out a small smile and look at my direction as if waiting for me.

"Is it Ok to be honest?"

I said, kakapalan ko na ag mukha ko, I might not have this chance again kubg magpapasikot sikot pa ako. She just nod without looking at my direction. And that is my cue.

"I miss you Bea, I miss my wife. And I can't believe you are here with me now."

Hindi siya nagsalita, hindi rin nagbago ang expression sa mukha niya, I can't read her, at kinakabahan ako.

"I miss you too, I miss everything in here."

I don't know kung anong klaseng lakas ng loob ang meron ako that I had the guts to pull her neck and gave her a kiss on the lips. She was not responding at first, but eventually did after a few seconds, and in that moment I wanted to cry so bad. Finally.

"Hay naku Bea ha, inaabala mo ang honeymoon ko, ano ba yun? Bilisan mo kasi kanina pa naghihintay si Nico, maglilibot kami sa Island."

"Hindi ko pa nasasabi sa kanya."

"Ang alin? At kanino ba?"

"Kay Thirdy. Na wala naman talaga ako planong umalis pa."

"Teka, nagkabalikan na ba kayo? Ikaw ha, kakausapin nga kita pagbalik namin , nung kasal ko bigla ka nalang nawala with him, tapos ngayon you are interrupting my vacation just to talk about him? Wow siya!"

"You know my plans Jho."

"Yan pa, yang planong yan, akala ko naman wala na yan, ano ba Bea? Hindi ba pwedeng kalimutan mo nalang yan? Wala namang magandang idudulot yan eh."

"There will be Jho. I'll have my peace after this."

"Hay naku! Ilang beses na kitang pinaliwanagan diyan Bea, sinasabi ko sayo, tumigil kana hanggat maaga pa."

"Just trust me on this Jho."

"Ewan ko sayo, oh siya, talk to you when we get back, for now ie enjoy ko muna ang Bali, bye Bei!"

"Enjoy! Bye."
