Happy first

I look at myself in the mirror before picking up the car keys from the side table. Its been two weeks since the Batangas get away, at mula ng bumalik kami ng Manila iniiwasan ko na si Cole, I felt betrayed by the very person I wanted to seek forgiveness with. God knows how hard I am trying not to tell Thirdy of what had happened that night, kasi sigurado ako na magkaka gulo lang. At ayaw ko ng kahit ano pang complications. Sawang sawa na ako sa kahit anong drama.

Flasback to Batangas

Cole: No actually ok na. So kamusta na?

Bea: Talaga? Well atleast now sayo ko na mismo narinig na ok na. Hmmm ito masaya.

Cole: "Masaya" Halata nga, I see na you are truly happy. Sayang kung sana kaya din kitang pasayahin katulad niya.

Hindi siya nakasagot kaagad, its awkward to talk to him about my relationship with Thirdy. Pero gusto kong maayos kung ano man ang meron kami ni Cole. Friendship is one of the best things i have at ayaw kong mawalan ng isang kaibigan.

Cole: So, how was he as a boyfriend naman? Sorry for asking ha, curious lang ako. Alam mo na hindi naman talaga kami close.

I forced a smile, no, hindi pwedeng awkward ito. Kaibigan ko siya, magiging kaibigan ko siya uli. And friends do share beautiful things with each other.

Bea: Si Thirdy? Hmm he is the typical Thirdy. Ayaw niya ng PDA, sweet lang siya kapag alam niyang walang nakakakita. I think that is the best thing about him, he knows how to respect me, he always value my worth as a woman and as a person. Tapos he is very appreciative, kahit maliliit na bagay na appreciate niya. One time I cooked him a pasta tapos alam ko naman na hindi ganun kasarap pero he said na masarap, tapos he sincerely said na masaya siya that I tried cooking for him. He is very sincere. And he is exerting extra effort sa team mates ko. I appreciate him so much.  

Cole: Mahal na mahal mo talaga.

Bea: Yeah, I can say na talagang mahal ko. Hindi ko naman iri risk lahat kung hindi ko mahal diba?

Cole: Hmm tama naman. In all fairness naman parang mas nakikilala ko pa siya sa mga nasabi mo kesa sa personal experience ko.

Bea: Alam mo, kung ako lang, I would have wanted you guys to be friends. Siguro kailangan niyo lang mag bond to get to know each other.

Napailing siya sa sinabi ko and gave me a smile.

Cole: Seriously? Hay naku, ok na. Basta ok tayo.

I was about to say something when.....

Cole: Aw! Aray! Ouch!!

Napalapit ako sa kanya, he is pressing his right eye at mukhang may something na napunta sa mata niya.

Bea: Hey, are you ok?

Nataranta na ako and bend towards him to see what is happening.

Cole: Blow my eyes Bei, pls. Ouch! Ang hapdi, parang may pumasok bigla. Aray!

I bend closer ready to blow that thing when he suddenly pulled my neck and kissed me. Shit!

PAK!!!

I pushed him. Fuck! I stood up, natumba pa ang upuan sa likod ko and wiped my mouth with my hands.

Bea: How dare you!! What was that Cole!! Fuck!!

He stood straight and look at me intently.

Cole: Look, you think I'll just forget everything? Ganun nalang ba yun? Bea, two years! Dalawang taon kitang minahal! Two years that I tried to win you, pero ano? Sa ganito lang tayo mauuwi?
