Can I see you tonight? Please? Alam kong hindi naka sched pero kailangan talaga kita ngayon, more than anyone else.
Hindi ako sigurado kung dadating siya. Sana dumating siya. Andito ako ngayon sa “same spot”, things has been hard for me for the last hours. We just have been defeated by FEU by a point. Kung kailan alam kong binigay namin lahat ng makakaya namin. We wanted it so bad. I wanted it so bad. I check the time on my wrist and its been a while, hindi man lang siya nag reply. Alam kong mahihirapan siyang umalis ngayon dahil ang alam ko magkasama sila ni Cole kanina and who knows kung naihatid na siya sa bahay nila.
Ang tagal na rin naming nagtatago. Gustohin ko mang maiba ang sitwasyon, pero natatakot pa siya. Kung sa akin lang kaya kong tanggapin ang galit at magiging sumbat ni Billie. Pero si Bea, napaka rami niyang taong ayaw saktan. At naiintindihan ko.
Halos dalawang oras na ako dito. I guess she can’t find a way para mapuntahan ako, well isa ito sa fall back ng set up naming dalawa. Hindi ganun kadali ang magkita kami. Ni ang hiling ko na manood siya ng mga games ko mahirap.
But I badly need her now. Just her mere presence would be more than enough sana.
But just when I was about to stand up and walk towards my car, I saw a very familiar figure walking almost running towards me. I know its her. Sinalubong ko siya ng yakap, sobrang higpit, I kissed her head.
“Thank you, thank you Bei.”
“Sorry, sorry kung ngayon lang. I wish I was there kanina. I wish I was able to hug you right there and then, just when after the buzzer beats.”
“Its ok, basta andito kana. Akala ko di kana pupunta. Sorry din kasi alam ko na mahirap pumunta dito na hindi planado.”
“Anything for you Thirds “
I held her face and was shocked to see stings of tears on her eyes.
“Why? Please don’t cry Bei”
“Kasi akala ko hindi na kita maabutan dito. I was too worried that you are here all alone and sad.”
“Silly, hindi pa naman ako magpapakamatay. Pero malungkot talaga kanina kasi akala ko hindi ka na makakapunta. Pero maiintindihan ko rin naman. This is the price we got to pay diba?”
“Sorry, for making things this complicated.”
“Hey, I understand. Basta wag ka lang uli mawala. I am willing to hide even if it takes forever.”
At tinawanan niya lang ako.
“Ang OA, Forever talaga? Grabe ka.”
“Hey! Im being sweet ah, basag trip ka din eh.”
Then she pulls me for a hug. Ahhhh I live for this moment.

Oh shit! Bakit gising pa si Mich? I turned to face her and smiled.
“Ah hi Mich!, gising kapa pala.”
She looked puzzled and turned on the lights dito sa sala ng dorm. By the look of it mukhang andito sila lahat kanina, kasi ang gulo at malamang nag movie marathon dahil may mga nakakalat pang pop corns.
“Nauhaw ako. Teka, tama naman diba. Weekends palang.”
“Uhm yeah, Sunday palang bukas. Bakit?”
“Eh bakit andito ka sa dorm? Umuwi ka kahapon diba? You are supposed to be here on Monday morning pa. Anyare?”
“I was around the area kasi and medyo gabi na to go home. So dito muna ako matutulog.”
She crossed her arms and looked at me intently.
“Mich you are giving me creeps. Please!”
“Bei, I’ll ask you again. What is going on? I know you are hiding something to all of us.”
I bit my lips. Oh Im so screwed up. I looked at her again. I know how keen Mich is. I can’t easily fool her.
“Its just that things are hard now, but I can say that I am at my happiest. Believe me when I say that I wanted to share it with you all, but I think its not yet the right time.”
“Bakit ba hindi namin pwedeng malaman?”
“Cause I might hurt you guys. Please Mich, pwede bang palampasin mo na muna ako. But I appreciate the concern, really. Thank you Mich.”
Nilapitan niya ako and hugged me.
“Pero kapag ako lang, kahit sana hindi kana magsinungaling. Kahit sabihin mo nalang na ‘ang alam kasi nila Mama kasama ko kayo at may girls night out tayo kaya dito ako matutulog’.”
This time I hugged her. Oh gosh, thanks heaven for giving me a captain like Mich. As time passes she is little by little taking the shoe that Ate Ly, left for her.
“Thank you Capt, for understanding. I owe you.”
“Basta pag ready kana, andito lang ako. Andito lang kami.”

Billie’s POV:
Its been a while mula ng huli kaming nagkita. I know things are a bit shaky these past few weeks for the both of us. Pero alam kong hindi ako basta bibitawan ni Thirdy. Mahal niya ako, and that is one thing I am sure about.
Hey Thirds, Im here at Katipunan. Dinner with me?
No reply. 10, 20, 30 minutes still no reply from him. And I am sure na wala siyang klase ng ganitong oras. I waited for a couple of minutes. Ok I am hopeless, baka tulog o may ginagawa.
From parking beside Ateneo I started my car engine and was about to drive back to Taft when I saw a familiar car pass in front of me. Nagmadali akong makaalis at sinundan ang sasakyan. Alam kong si Thirdy ang nagda drive, not because he owns the car, basta alam ko lang. Bigla akobg kinabahan, para bang may nagsasabi sa aking sundan ko siya, kailangan ko siyang sundan.
Then after less than an hour huminto siya sa isang park, if I was not mistaken nasa Marikina kami, Riverbanks specifically, I stopped the car few meters away from his car.
He was facing the river. I can say that he is happy. Kahit nakatalikod alam ko, I just know him too well to say that he is indeed happy just by watching him. His body language says it all.
Then a black BMW stopped beside his car. Hindi ko alam kung saan dumaan yun. Then someone, I guess a woman came out of it and ran towards him. Sinalubong ni Thirdy and hugged her. Shit!! He’s cheating on me!! The nerve of this man! Who is this woman? Matangkad, long hair, wearing a long sleeve polo shirt, wearing a cap. She’s wearing a cap! Off course! To hide her face! Ang kakapal ng mga mukha!! Ao this woman know that Thirdy is committed, malamang alam niya, bakit hindi eh tinatago niya ang mukha niya at pumapayag siyang makipag kita ng patago kay Thirdy.
“Sige lang Thirdy, gaguhin mo ako, akala mo naga gago mo ako. Oras na malamn ko kung sino ang babaeng yan, makikita mo ang hinahanap mo. You want to play games with me? Then I’ll play your game. You asshole!”
