Five Years Later
In this time, Elsa and Jack have had twins, Maya and Amber, and a daughter, Jewel.
Elsa's POV
I pushed the pink triple pram with my three-year-old twins and my one-year-old daughter inside, Maya, Amber and Jewel, and my five-year-old son walked alongside us. Jack Frost, my husband, was at his work so I had to take Tyler to school, and Maya and Amber to nursery myself.
"Hello, Miss Green, Maya and Amber are very excited to come to nursery today!" I smiled, unstrapping them from the pram. "Have a wonderful day, girls!" I pushed the pram towards the school of the building, kissed Tyler on the forehead and let him go off to meet his teacher. I was about to exit the playground when a young-looking man almost walked into me. "Watch where you're going, sir!"
He looked at me. "Oh, I'm sorry, Miss Beautiful! I'll be careful next time."
I raised my eyebrows at him. "Thank you, for your praise, but I cannot return any flirts I receive from anyone, as I have a husband whom I love dearly."
He looked taken aback. "Sorry for that, I didn't know. Have you got any children at this school?"
"I wouldn't be here if I didn't. Yes, I have three children, two in the nursery and one who is in the foundation."
"I have a little boy in foundation, and a little girl in nursery. Perhaps they could be friends?"
"You cannot force a child to be friends with another..."
"No, of course not. What are your children called?"
I hesitated. "Well... my twins in nursery are called Amber and Maya, and my son in foundation is called Tyler!"
"My Jade has mentioned an Amber and a Maya! She said that Amber was one of her favourite friends! And my Tom has also mentioned a Tyler, could they maybe be the same ones?"
"Now that you mention it, I think I remember a Jade and a Tyler!"
"Would you like to, ya know, bring the kids over later for a play date?"
"Hmm... Well we'll have to see. I never caught your name, by the way!"
"Oh, my name is Michael. And yours?"
"I am Elsa, Elsa Frost."
"Very nice to meet you, Elsa! Could I maybe have your phone number? You know, to arrange things for the children..."
I looked doubtful. "I suppose... Yes, it'll be nice for them to play together. Here's my number, do you also have yours?"
"Yes, this is mine! Thanks, Elsa! I'll text you about Amber, Maya and Tyler when I have time!"
"Okay, sure. Goodbye, I have to see my husband now." It was a little white lie, because Jack was still at work, but I didn't want to stay any longer with this man, because Michael seemed to like me a little too much. I walked away, thinking about having lunch at a restaurant. It would be a shame to go without Jack, but it would be nice to have a little time to myself for a change. I started to send a text to Elsa.
Hi little sis x Anna, I was thinking about having a little time to myself today, could you look after Jewel? Thanks, big sis :)
Oh, sis, I'm sorry! Kristoff and I are going on a date today! But I can tomorrow if you ok with that? Sorry to let you down!
Oh, no, it's fine! I can go tomorrow! Love ya, have a nice time with Kristoff! Are you gonna propose to him like I did to Jack? You've been with him for almost six years, I think you can trust him not to cheat on you ;)
Nah, not this time. But hopefully by the time you have another child, I'll be married.
Haha, I think I've had enough kids! Anyways, I should get going now! See you soon!
Bye Elsa!
I smiled at my conversation with Anna. We had come a long way since our parents died, and now we were like best friends again! I looked back at my phone and saw another text, but this time it was not from Anna.
Hi, Elsa! Is this your number? I hope it is. Are you doing anything today? I know you said you have to be with your husband but I'm a little lonely so... Tell me what you think. Michael.
I frowned. Many years ago, I would have jumped for joy if anyone other than Jack had asked me for company, but now I hated the idea. But I suppose I was a little lonely... And I knew that Michael liked me, but if I didn't like him, surely it would be okay?
Okay, Michael, I suppose I don't have anything much to do now. One question: could I maybe bring my little girl, Jewel? My sister can't look after her.
Oh, I thought it would be the two of us, but she can come too, I guess...
I was happy at the thought of Jewel coming along, because I could use her as an excuse for leaving Michael's house. I looked through my mother's wardrobe, which Jack and I had found the day we started dating. I found a vintage purple top, and put it with my black leggings and went out to find Michael's house. Eventually, I located it and knocked on the door.
"Hello, Elsa! My girlfriend's just gone out, so we have the house to ourselves, apart from little Jewel."
Girlfriend? If Michael had a girlfriend, why was he flirting with me in the school playground? I didn't like the idea of being involved with an affair, though of course if I didn't like the man, how could we be?
"Oh, okay..." I followed him and looked around his house.
"So... would you like something to eat?" he asked.
"Er... I suppose so..." I replied.
"Sit down, please! Make yourself comfortable."
"Thank you..." I smiled. He made me a sandwich and I thanked him.
"Well, beautiful, I know you said that you had a husband..."
I nodded, unsure of what he would say. "Yes, and I love him."
"Yes, well, I'm always here... if you want a break from... anything..."
"Thank you for the offer," I told him, "But it would be unfaithful to my marriage vows for me to do so. And, you mentioned a girlfriend of your own?"
"Ah, yes... she and I barely speak, but we both don't want to break up with each other..."
"I see..." I looked over at Jewel. "Well... thanks for the chat... but I should be getting on now..."
"Already? You have only been here a couple of minutes!"
"I think this is getting out of hand. Jack wouldn't be too pleased if he knew I was even listening to this. Goodbye! It was a nice sandwich!" I walked towards the door and closed it, holding Jewel in my arms. Michael was too much of a distraction.
