I stared at Jack. He was smiling and I really didn't want this to go any further. I shivered. "Belle is texting me," I told him. "I need to go."

"Sure." I rushed away before I blushed even more.

"Elsa, I'm really sorry. I just didn't want to make things worse for you."

"What do you mean?" I was puzzled.

"Well, do you remember Lauriel?"

"Course I do. She was the worst."

"She cheated then lied so many times," Belle agreed. "Plus I hate lying myself."

I hugged her. "Are we still best friends?"

"Bestest friends?"

"For ever and ever?"

"You bet," she grinned and we both laughed, remembering the many times that we had both fallen out and said that rhyme. Even though I was 17 and she was 13, we were still amazing friends.  "But... when you leave the school at the end of this year... I'm not sure we can be best friends."

"Not friends?"

"We can be second best friends, but it's not fair on both of us if we have no - one to talk to at school," she said, shaking slightly.

"Of course, when you dislike me, we won't be friends."

"Elsa, please. I need to have a friend."

"Sure you do." I rolled my eyes.

"Do you like Jack Frost?" she asked. I frowned at her.

"Sure I do NOT! He is a filthy, dirty beast."

"If you're sure... by the way, when are you going to invite me to your palace again?"

"Mother is soon leaving with Father, but they'd love to have you over soon."
