Jack's POV
I opened the door of my car and walked up the few steps to get to Elsa and I's house. I unlocked the front door and called to my wife, "Elsa, I am home!" I waited for a few minutes to hear a response. Perhaps she had gone out with all four of the children? "El? Are you here?" I got out my phone and dialled her number. It immediately came up with a notice saying 'You cannot dial this number'. What was going on? I searched the house for clues, and I finally saw a little envelope with a name written on it in swirly writing: Jack.
I widened my eyes and read the letter, shocked. She had seen Rapunzel and I together that day. And, yes, the truth is that I did kiss her, but it was a bad mistake. She became my girlfriend three years ago. But I hadn't meant any of it.

I sat at my desk and typed a few sentences, when someone knocked on the door. "Come in."
A girl with emerald green eyes and long, blonde hair opened the door. "Hello, Mr Frost. You know me, do you not? I was one of your wife's bridesmaids at the wedding. My name is Rapunzel. We have met a few times, as I believe Eugene is your friend. I am your new colleague, so we should get used to each other."
"Yes, I suppose we shall have to. But why on earth did they not tell me about my new partner?"
"I have no idea. Why, you look so handsome today, Mr Frost. Elsa is so lucky to have you. Well, Jack, my darling, if you ever want a new girlfriend, I'm here, waiting for you!"
"What? No! The spot is taken already."
"Oh, if you are sure. Would you like to go to the bar down the road, have a few drinks tonight?"
"I suppose. We'd better get to know each other better, if you are a new workmate of mine."
"Sure," Rapunzel smiled, and sat down next to me. "Let's get to work."
The hours passed and soon the darkness swallowed the burning orb in the sky.
"You still on for gettin' drunk, Frosty?"
"No, I have to get home. One or two, but that's it."
"Oh, come on, party pooper!" she grinned, as we walked to the bar. "Have a few!"
"I can't say right now, Punzie."
"Hmm..." she said, entering the pub and walking right up to the counter. "We'll take ten bottles."
"Ten bottles? That's five each!" I hissed, but she shook her head. "Punzel, you're going to pay for my taxi home!"
"Fine," she giggled, and begun drinking the bottles. After having many glasses, Rapunzel asked me to dance, and I agreed. I was drunk and I didn't know what I was doing... and then the next thing I remember was that I was kissing someone's lips, someone that wasn't my wife. I pulled away quickly and she smiled at me.
"What are you doing? I need to get back to my wife!" I exclaimed, and started to get up.
"Are you going to tell her about us?"
"What do you mean, us?"
"About our relationship! Jack and Rapunzel!"
I widened my eyes. "Relationship? What relationship?"
"Why would you kiss me for so long if you didn't love me?" she challenged me, and I frowned. "If you tell Elsa about me and you, she'll leave you, you do know that, right? So you are to act as though everything is normal, and meet me every night, OK? Like you love me!"
I was so scared of Elsa finding out and taking our children to another home, that I nodded quickly. "Yes, fine, whatever!" I didn't think she meant it, but every night I had to meet her, and after a while, I knew it would be a waste of my energy to complain, because Rapunzel would find another excuse.
I should have told Elsa. She would have comforted me and said that it was a silly mistake, that I shouldn't get worried over it. But now... well, what was I supposed to do? She wouldn't answer any texts or calls, I didn't know where she was and she was with another man now. What was I to do?
I thought about it all day, and all night. The love of my life was gone, gone forever. "I'll never see her again!" I said to myself, my voice quiet. My throat was choked up, and I knew that one more thought would spill the tears over the edge. But this wasn't some nightmare. I couldn't just pinch myself and wake up. Elsa had fled me, with all four of my beautiful children. I listened to the silent house, desperately hoping that my wife would knock on the door, that this would be a joke to get me into confessing that I had been bad to her.
I went upstairs, and looked into the kids' bedrooms. Everything was gone. Their games, their toys and their clothes. They had no reason to come back. I couldn't explain to her that if she gave me another chance, I would love her just like before, that I would love her more than before.
What was the purpose of being in this home? It wasn't mine anyway. Elsa was the one who owned this house - I only lived here because she was my wife, and her children were mine too. But I had no reason to stay now. I couldn't stay here, not surrounded by all of these memories. So, I took my purse and shut the door. I reached to check the key was safe in my pocket and then I froze. The key wasn't there. I couldn't go back, even if I wanted to. But where could I go? No-one would take me, and I only had just enough money for food. I hadn't really wanted to leave forever...
I was locked out of my home. My memories of Elsa and my children were gone. I had nothing of them left. No children, no Elsa, not even their old home. None of their things. Just me, Jack Frost.
I walked down the path, to the park. Perhaps I could "camp" in the park? Until Elsa found me and realised that she didn't want to leave me like this. What if she didn't come for me at all? I've ruined everything. I wish I could take everything back, start everything again. But it was too late. Everything I had lost would never be found again.
