I have found out from birth records that around 18 years ago, there was a birth of Felicity Frost. I also found out that Jack lived in this area when he was little, but obviously when his parents died, he moved elsewhere. It seems that his aunt moved back, because the distant cousin found out that she was having a child, and then he ended up back in his home town.

If Felicity is alive and she is 18, then she probably has a social media account somewhere. I look up the name, but I cannot find any trace of her. Perhaps she did die after all? Or maybe the people who took her in renamed her...

I look up Fliss Frost. It is a long shot, but possibly Felicity prefers a nickname. There is one result, but the girl in the picture looks so different to Jack, that I rule her out. And her introduction says that she is 25, so she's too old anyway.

Maybe the nurses are right. Felicity couldn't survive long without food or water. She probably did die. Even so, I type a message to my profile.

Hiya guys! It's a long story, but I'm trying to find out what happened to the sister of my... friend. Her name is Felicity Frost, and she is 18. I imagine that she has very light blonde hair. If you know a girl with a variety of Felicity Frost - Fliss, or Felice Frost, for example, then also let me know. If there's an 18-year-old girl in your area with the surname of Frost, it is possible her name was changed, so let me know. I'll explain more if we have success. Love <3 ya, guys! Sparklygirl (Ella) xx

I send the message and sigh. There probably would be little to no success. Perhaps a few people would see it and pretend that their friend was the missing girl, but no-one would be the real one.

"Mrs Frost, would you like to speak to Jack now? I'm sure you have a lot to say," the nurse who told me about Jack's history says.

"I do," I smile at her, "I'll go now." I make my way to the room and look at Jack again. He is so thin, but he has a tube feeding him, which is making him better. He always was quite thin, so this dreadful accident has affected him much more than it normally would for anyone else. "Jack, this is Elsa. I'm sorry for everything that happened. I honestly didn't want it to occur. I didn't want you to have this accident. I only left because I saw you being kissing Punzie. Why did you run away? Did you even care about me? Why did you run away if you didn't? But why would you kiss her so passionately if you didn't love her? It's all so crazy. I don't know how to understand it. I wish we could go back to how it was, but we can't. I love you, Jack, but it will never work out. I know I'm supposed to talk about cheerful topics now, but you have to understand that I'm in love with my new boyfriend, and I've gotten my old best friend back, and I don't want to lose it all. So when you wake, you'll be my friend, but nothing more. We'll have to sort the divorce papers out. Oh, Jack, why did you make such a mess of everything? I still have my engagement ring. But Michael is special. Talking to you makes me realise that, Jack. I know you made the first move, but after 3 years of you going off, I think I know that you've gone off me. You probably won't care that I'm planning to buy Mikey a ring. Then I'll have 6 children, it's a lot." I pause, biting my lip. Everything is so complicated, and without talking to Jack face to face, it is hard to explain the whole story. "6 children to look after, plus myself and Michael... Anyway, Jack, I do love you as a friend, and I hope you get better. I'll go now. I think you deserve some rest." I smile at my husband and leave.
