I sit on the bench on the platform, waiting for the train to come. I am with Lily and Michael, but Michael is parking the car and Lily is getting some snacks for Flee and her dad. I look at my watch. 11:05. The train is 5 minutes late, but they'll be here soon, because the indicator board says that they are delayed.
As if by magic, a train rolls up and comes to a halt. I wait for a few minutes , and then I stand up and watch to see if Flee and her dad are there.
"Elsa, I presume!" a man says, stepping down from the train. "Flee's just getting her little suitcase."
From what I have already gathered, Flee's carers treat her like she is much younger than 18. Perhaps they act like Flee was a baby when she came to them, so now they act like Flee is 15? They aren't acting like she's 15, more like 8! Strange.
"Yes, that is me. Jack is more stable now." I see a beautiful girl step out of the train. She looks almost exactly like Jack, with the same eyes and the same pale skin. The only thing that sets them apart is Flee's brown hair, but apart from that, they are obvious siblings.
"Hi, I'm Flee! Or Felicity, I suppose, but I never use it, and I didn't at my old home."
"Hello Flee. The hospital is this way," I tell them, pointing in the correct direction, "But my boyfriend should be here in the car park, so we don't have to walk. Ah, here is Lily, my best friend. Lil, this is Lily, and this is her... stepfather, I guess."
"Nice to meet you, Flee. Now, shall we make our way to the car park?" Lily starts to walk in the direction of the stairs and we follow her.
"I hope Jack will be OK," Flee says, "I don't want him to die, now that I've only just found him."
I consider this for a few moments. "Neither do I, Flee, I don't want him to die. Even though he's broken my heart so many times, I just don't want to lose him..." I glance at Lily, who is giving me a look that I know means 'remember that you have my ex-boyfriend Michael'. "I mean, I don't want you to lose him..."
"Thanks, Ellie!"
"No problem," I smile, and see my boyfriend by our car.
"Hi, Ellie-lovey-princess!"
"OK, wow, I get that you love each other, but it's disgusting to hear my old nicknames given to Elsa. It's not that different from Lily-lovey-princess," Lily says, but her eyes are twinkling with joy. I know that she has Eugene now, so she is much happier.
"Aw, not fair!" Michael grins, putting on a silly child's voice, "Maybe we shouldn't go out anymore, because Lily doesn't like us being a couple!" He says it like he means it, but he doesn't hesitate to plant a kiss on my lips.
"This is Flee, and this is her dad," I tell him, slightly embarrassed that he kissed me in front of my husband's sister. I hope that she knows that Jack and I aren't in love anymore...
"Wait, are you having an affair, Elsa? Isn't Jack your husband?"
I sigh, and look at Michael. He looks at the ground. "No, no, Flee. It's a long story, but basically Jack is dating Rapunzel, so I left him to be with Michael. I wasn't with Michael until after I found out he didn't love me anymore."
"Oh..." Flee replies, but I can see that she thinks lower of me than before. "Can we... um... go to the hospital now? Hurry, please?" Michael and I end up sitting in the front, and Lily, Flee and Kevin (Flee's stepdad) sit in the back.

We arrive at the hospital and Flee and I go into see Jack.
"He looks just like the boy in my dreams," Flee says, "But so much paler and sick. It's so terrible to see him like this, Ellie..."
"It must be. It is for me too."
"But you've moved on, haven't you? To a new life with Michael? Are you going to marry him?"
"I think of him everyday, Flee," I tell her, "I wish that we could go back, and I could be there for him and love him more, to stop him kissing Rapunzel in the restaurant... but I can't." I look into her eyes. "So, yes, I hope we do someday." As the words slip out of my mouth, I know that this is my future, and I can't keep dwelling on the past. I'm in the now. I have to let Jack go.
