EVE'S POV

"you were supposed to tell me about ethan, remember?" alex whispers as we make our way to the staircase to talk.

"right." i sighed.

i explained to her exactly what happened. including the way he made me feel, terrible. i just wanted to be nice and thank him for doing me a favor, but there's nothing i regret more than that quick conversation. i hated the feeling he gave me, like i had to give into his little game. his hookup game.

the front door opened with a slight creak that i could barely hear over the music, yet it caused me to turn my head.

his eyes caught mine in the midst of everyone greeting him, grayson and brett. out of anyone he could've looked at when he walks through the door, of course it had to be me. i hate the way he does it too. the way his eyes glare at your own in a seductive and devilish way, convincing you to agree to absolutely anything he asks of you, just by a simple look in your direction.

"here's your boy toy now." alex smirks.

"he's not my boy t-" i attempt to whisper back, getting cut off by him already next to me. his foot was on the bottom stair, leaning on the railing with his arms crossed, as alex and i stood on the second.

"long time no see." he winks.

"my drink is almost gone, be right back!" alex swiftly walks into the kitchen leaving us alone, her drink still full.

fuck my life.

"another party? wow. thought you were a good girl." he turned his head slightly, showing his curiosity.

"alex and blair made me come." i rolled my eyes, wanting this conversation to end.

ETHAN'S POV

i can make you cum.

"why are you so against parties?" was what i managed to say. the other statement probably wouldn't of gone over well.

"i don't see the point in them." she broke eye contact with me, making me want more from her.

"do you not like to look at people when they talk to you?" i chuckled, slowly touching her hand.

she turned her head, taking her hand out of my grasp.

"i-i um." she stuttered.

"that's what i thought." i stepped fully onto the first stair, now i'm at eye level with her.

my hands roamed to her waist as she looked down at them.

"ethan! get over here, we're mixing drinks!" tyler yelled for me from the kitchen.

fucking great timing, i was just getting started.

i groaned and walked away from her, hearing her sigh in relief as i made my way to the kitchen.

i'm finally starting to get to her, hopefully.

"dude, where were you?" grayson asks as i sit on a barstool at the counter.

remembering my dream, i decided not to say anything to grayson about eve. of course it wasn't going to happen in real life again, that's fucking crazy. i tried to convince myself that what happened in algebra today, was probably all a coincidence.

"ran into someone." i mean i wasn't lying.

"weren't you talking to eve?" brett chimes in, of course.

fuck.

"oh shit! did you guys really fuck that fast?" grayson's sarcastic voice made him sound like a jealous dick. im smart enough to know what he's thinking about doing to her.

eve is my hookup, not his.

"we didn't fuck!" i yelled, not paying attention to how loud i was.

a few heads turned, then went back to their conversations.

"why so pissed?" he chuckled.

"nothing, just stay out of it." i scoffed.

the party went on. multiple girls asked me to dance with them, i agreed. all night i tried to find eve. wanting to be dancing with her rather than the hoes grinding next to me. i finally found her, kind of. but every time i saw her in a hallway, she'd look away or ignore me. never has this happened to me before. girls just don't turn me down, it doesn't happen. i guess i'm just not used to someone as attractive as her, not being attracted to me.

blair ended up next to me, grabbing onto my arm. i turned to look at her, shaking my head "no." she rolled her eyes and went back to her friends. like usual, always trying to get in my pants, and everyone else's if i'm being honest.

the house eventually got boring, so the party slowly migrated outside. everyone was swimming in the pool while drinking. well, almost everyone. eve leaned against the sliding door, trying to get a glimpse of what everyone was doing outside. the friend she was with dove into the pool fully clothed, leaving eve standing by herself, crossing her arms. she looked upset but content with not participating. yet another opportunity for me.

i pulled myself out of the pool, shaking off my hair, then running my hands through it. i grabbed a towel and dried myself off, wrapping it around my waist.

EVE'S POV

my eyes caught onto ethan getting out of the pool, hoping it was to fill up his cup or something. boy was i wrong. he began walking up to me, small droplets of water covering his tanned, toned figure. i've never cursed in my head as much as i am right now.

"you're really gonna stand here alone and not swim?" he chuckled. that damn laugh.

i'm not giving in.

"yeah, i'm cold actually."i lied.

"it's funny how you think i'm buying that." his voice lowers, becoming quieter, more enticing. it was like we were the only two people on earth with the way his attention was on my eyes only.

he stepped closer to me, crossing his arms. i'm still not giving in, i cant.

"come on, have some fun. i promise you'll like it." his eyebrow flicked as his tongue played with the inside of his cheek.

fucking hell.

"i don't have a bathing suit." i shrugged, hoping he wouldn't do what i thought he was going to, but he did.

he smirked, "don't worry about that." his large hands then picked me up bridal style as he jumped into the pool, holding me.

"ethan!" i squealed, trying not to laugh. i failed.

soon enough, i was underwater. it was so cool and refreshing, taking away the worry i had about coming to this party in the first place.

we came back up, sounds of clapping soon filled my eardrums.

honestly, i was having fun. i haven't been able to say that in years, and it scares me a bit that ethan dolan was the one causing me to say it.
