"i knew it. i knew you lied to us." my mother scolds as she swings our front door closed.
"mom, i'm really s-" i tried to expel my feelings, but my dad cut me off.
"save it. you lied straight to our faces, and if you think there's no consequences you're very wrong young lady." my dad throws his car keys onto the kitchen counter.
"please, let me explain." i beg.
"fine, make it quick." my mom sighs.
"blair invited me to hang out with them so we could all become friends. and you're telling me that just because they're guys, i can't befriend them?" i asked, aggravated as hell.
they both looked at each other, probably realizing how stupid they're rules really are.
"honey, we just wants what's best for you. we know those boys intention and-" my dad begins to give excuses, so i cut him off this time.
"do you really think all boys have those intentions dad? that all of them just want to use me? maybe i have this all wrong, but as far as i'm concerned, there's at least one that genuinely cares about me." i say quietly as years ran down my cheeks slowly.
i let out a sigh, walking to my room. i close my door and flop on my bed, putting my head into my pillow. quite honestly, i'm not even sure why i'm crying this hard. over ethan? no. i'm crying over the fact that i have no fucking clue what i want anymore. i wanted to stay away from him for the longest time because i didn't know his true personality, but now it feels like all i want is to be around him.

| ETHAN'S POV |
i got home not exactly knowing how to react. her parents just showed up, claimed they saw "a guy" which i automatically knew was me on her snapchat story, and scolded her for hanging out with us. then they made her follow them home in her car as we all pretty much sat there, confused. blair and tyler laughed, grayson looked disappointed, alex and brett felt bad that her parents are so strict, and i said nothing. what i showed on the outside was absolutely no emotion to the situation, but on the inside it was just killing me not
to say something. i wanted so badly to confront her parents as to why they judge guys that they've never met. it's just wrong and it bothers me, a lot. i'd get it if every guy was like grayson, but they aren't. at least, i'm not. i used to be, but people change. and i know for sure that i'd never want to get this girl in trouble, not anymore.i throw off my hoodie and my shirt, then slip on sweatpants. i practically throw myself on my bed, thinking about more shit than my mind could handle.
my phone buzzes on my nightstand, i pick it up almost instantly, hoping for the notification i wanted to see.
grayson: get in my room, we need to talk
definitely not the notification i was hoping for. i didn't respond, i just rolled my eyes and pushed myself off my bed. i walked across the hallway, dreading the conversation we were about to have.
i open the door, then quickly slam it behind me, "what?" i ask angrily.
"seriously?" he raises his eyebrows as he lays on his bed, looking like a douchebag as always.
"if this is about your dumb fucking bet, i'm not interested." i scoffed, crossing my arms.
"it's also a bet that you agreed to." he smiled sarcastically, knowing how much he was pissing me off right now.
i looked down, "what's your point, dude?"
"my point is that the bet was never completely fulfilled." he smirked.
"and?" i ask, not completely sure where he was going with this.
"and...it needs to be completed or else the bet is not fully over." he rolls his eyes, talking to me as if i were four and understood nothing.
"you sat next to her during the last ride, grayson! i think that's plenty. you didn't get to drive her home, big deal. i mean it's not my fault that her parents are fucking psychotic and trust none of us!" i pretty much yell at him.
"as far as i'm concerned, they don't trust you." he chuckled.
"excuse me?" i questioned.
"you heard me. you were the one on her story after all. her parents probably hate you, good luck trying to make that work." he laughed at me yet again, making me feel worthless.
"fuck you, grayson." i turn around quickly, turning the handle of his door, letting it slam against the wall.
"i'd rather fuck her." he chuckles.
i ignore it and go back to my room, turning off my lights and dozing off.

i open my eyes, i'm in a car. grayson's car. music is playing as i look out the windows at the street lights in the darkness. i admire the black leather interior with red lights on the floor. i look over at grayson, he's driving as he has a firm grip on the wheel.
"like what you see?" he asks me.
i say nothing. i cant speak. i look down to see exactly why i'm so uncomfortable. i'm wearing high waisted shorts, and white converse with a hoodie. my legs are completely free of hair, and smooth. i put my hands up to feel what's on my head, long hair. i glance at it lying on my shoulder.
"come on, there's no need to be shy." he says as his voice grows deeper, looking over to me.
am i someone else right now? because i'm definitely not myself. it's probably some girl that he's hooking up with. trying to figure things out, i begin putting the collar of my hoodie up to my nose, inhaling slightly. it smells so familiar. i pull down the sun visor and open the mirror to reveal exactly who's eyes i'm seeing through right now.
my breath hitches as i adjust my eyes to the face in front of me, eve.
