You rolled over, flinging your arm so it hangs off the bed and groaning. The ringing of your alarm won't stop itself, so you sit up and flipped it off. A loud yawn ejected itself fromyour throat and your hands rubbed your eyes, which flicked over to check the time shortly after.
6:15 AM...yippee.
"[Y/N], I have breakfast ready for you!" your foster mother called to you from down stairs. "I have some news too," her voice softened, sounding sad, making an eyebrow shoot up in confusion.
"Yeah, yeah, coming," you huffed, swinging your feet to the floor and standing, balancing yourself with a hand on your bed to keep yourself from passing out because you stood up too fast.
After swapping your pajamas for your usual long sleeve shirt, shorts and those shin-high athletic socks (which you've never learned the actual name of), as well as brushing your hair and teeth, you made your way down the stairs and into the kitchen. You quickly got your school things together, and plopped yourself on a chair and began eating.
"So," your foster mom sniffled, wiping a tear and sitting down in front of you. "You've been adopted."
You froze immediately, dropping your spoon down into the bowl of cereal with a small splash and your jaw dropping open.
"I- I got WHAT?!" You whisper-shouted, unnecessarily.
"Adopted," your foster mother sighed, her lip trembling a bit.
"By who?" you asked eagerly, your legs bouncing under the table from excitement.
A smile grew on her face. "I guess you'll have to find out after school," she chuckled.
"Aye aye, Sydney," you quickly complied, popping out of your seat and racing up the stairs.
Out of instinct to make a first impression for your adopter, you swapped your clothes with the iconic "More Than A Fan" Marvel t-shirt, black jean shorts, your favorite black converse, and the Iron Spider socks you got from Tennessee. Leaving your [H/C] hair to lay on your shoulders.

You noticed something you didn't notice before; your suitcases were out in the hallway. Shrugging, you pretty much flew down the stairs to get your backpack together.
"I'll pack your things while you're at school," Sydney said.
"Thanks, Syd," you responded, shoving your math binder into your bag, your lunch following. You stopped for a moment, the realization sinking in. "Wait...I'll be leaving you..."
"Don't worry about it, [Y/N/N]," your foster mom cooed. "I have Daniel now."
"Psh, yeah," you roll your eyes. "I'm surprised he doesn't live here yet. Well now you can get pregnant." you joked, lifting your backpack from the floor.
"Mhm, yeah," Sydney chuckled, placing her hands on her hips, and glancing at the clock. "But I will miss you. Now get to school."
You nodded, racing out the door and walking your way to school, which took all of 10 minutes. Earbuds played "Better Now" by Post Malone in your ears, and you lip-synced along. A sigh was emitted as your took them out, shoved them back in your bag, and opening the school's front doors.
As usual, the day dragged on, though it seemed more meaningful. Everything was normal, except for the beginning of each class the teacher announced you will not be returning to school. That made you more upset than you planned to be, and when it came over the announcements during study hall, you had to fight back tears. Although you've gone to school will your classmates for pretty much ever, you don't have many close friends. Maybe one best friend, and sprinkled friends all over.
The bell rang and it took you a while to actual stand from your seat. At your locker, you heard people buzzing about something.
"He's OUTSIDE!?"
"Yeah, I know!"
"Wait, who!?"
You discreetly checked your phone, being careful not to let teachers see and you got a message from Sydney.

Of course, you raised a brow slightly. She was up to something, and you were the least bit suprised.
( so the outfit described is literally the outfit i wore on my first day of school and those are my socks and converse. oops. )
