"You guys are sick!" you heard Natasha scream as you bolted out of the cabin.

How could Mike do that to you? You thought he was a caring guy that was actually interested in you. Tears streamed down your face as you fought against the icy wind. This is what you get for falling for some foolish joke.

"[Y/N]!" your twin sister's voice called for you. "Please!"

After a few moments of all-out sprinting, you sat to rest on a snow covered log. You wrapped your arms around your legs in attempt to harness some body heat, in the freezing cold. Footsteps approached you, and you tensed. They faded out, and were replaced by high pitched screeches, and you covered your ears at the noise.

"What the hell?" you grumbled, trying to keep your balance on the log. "Some special bird there."

Pounding footsteps came into earshot, and you tensed up, wiping your eyes and nose. Luckily it wasn't a wild animal or your jerk friends; Natasha came running into view, and slowed down by your side.

"[Y/N]," Natasha gasped for air, "I'm so sorry for them."

You shrugged and looked at the snow. Natasha sat on the log next to you, and put her arm around you. Her touch calmed you, and you relaxed into it. However, if she was going to try and get you to go back to the cabin, you were not going to comply.

Suddenly, the high pitched screech returned, and there was a rustle in the bushes. Both of you bolted on your feet and began racing away from the noise.

"Don't stop!" Natasha urged.

"Ya think?" you muttered under your breath.

Eventually, you came to a cliff. Natasha gripped your hand, and your heart pounded. The screeching returned, followed by unfamiliar footsteps. You and Nat looked at each other, and you offered a weak smile.

Your foot slipped, and you fell off, gripping on to a branch that stuck out. Natasha fell with you, but held on to your hand. A person in weird clothing peered over the cliff and offered you a hand, but with one hand on the branch and one hand on Natasha, plus being terrified, they didn't help. Instead, you lost your grip on the branch, and went tumbling down.

Your eyes fluttered open, and pain shot through your body. You screamed, and collapsed when you tried to sit up. After examining the fall, you concluded you probably have at least 10 broken ribs.

Then you looked over at Natasha and concluded she was not-so lucky. Tears flowed out of your eyes as you dragged yourself over to her.

"I'm so sorry, Nat," you sobbed, holding her cold hand. "so sorry.."

Your eyelids eventually fell, and you fell asleep. You woke up and groaned at the pain, but proceeded to grab a nearby shovel and began to dig. After a long hour of digging, you struggled to drag Natasha's limp body into the hole, and covered it up, placing a cross made out of broken planks in the dirt.

After lighting a stick to make a make-shift torch, you began to write in a notebook that you found nearby. Little do you know, by next month, you won't be human.
