They landed in Hermione's living room, stumbling slightly as they landed. Draco and Blaise were already there and they rushed to the girls in a blur.
Draco immediately ran around Hermione, asking, "Are you alright? Did you get hit? What happened?"
Blaise similarly spun Ginny around in a careful manner, checking her for wounds as well before wrapping her up in his arms. Ginny buried her face in his chest and said in a muffled voice, "We're fine, just a little shaken. We were able to fight them off with Harry and Ron's help."
Hermione nodded and Draco pulled her to him, wrapping an arm around her back and putting a hand on the back of her head while she leaned in against his chest. She immediately started to calm down as she stood there in his arms, still unable to speak.
"We think it was the Carrows," Harry said, breaking the silence. "There were only two of them, and they had Death Eater robes on with their hoods up."
"You weren't able to see who it was?" Draco asked in an irritated voice.
Hermione lifted her head and looked at him. "They just helped to save our lives, lose that tone. And there was too much going on for us to see their faces."
Draco sighed and nodded before looking at Harry. "Sorry."
Harry shrugged. "No worries, it's understandable."
Hermione felt a push on her mind and she saw Ginny looking at her.
Are you alright?
Hermione nodded slightly. Are you?
Ginny nodded and blinked back tears for a moment. I don't know about you, but I could use a bottle of wine right now.
Same, why don't we go get some?
Don't need to ask me twice. If you want, actually, I can go grab my flask?
That's not a bad idea, I'll come with you.
Ginny nodded and the two girls pulled away from their Veelas as Hermione said, "We'll be right back; Ginny wants to go grab her flask from her manor."
Ron gave her a confused look. "How do you know that?"
"Because she told me," Hermione said simply with a shrug.
The two girls took each other's hands and disapparated away, leaving the boys alone. Harry and Ron gave each other confused looks before Draco sighed. "Well since they're drinking, we might as well have some firewhiskey too. Come on."
He led them into the kitchen as Harry asked, "What did Hermione mean when she said Ginny told her? The two of them were completely silent."
While Draco grabbed the firewhiskey, Blaise went to the cabinet and grabbed four glasses, saying over his shoulder, "The girls learned Legilimency in our last year at Hogwarts. They have conversations on their own when they don't want us to hear what they're saying."
"That's dangerous," Ron muttered. "Those two could plot anything."
Draco laughed as he poured the drinks. "They don't do it too often. They used to do it a lot in school though so that we couldn't listen in on their conversations; got really annoying after a while."
"Why were you two listening in on their conversations?" Ron asked in an annoyed tone.
"We didn't do it on purpose," Blaise answered, scowling as he handed him a glass. "Veelas have heightened hearing, so even if they were in another room, we would still be able to hear them."
