Ch. 13

Ginny gave Blaise a kiss and pulled him out of the bedroom, leading him down to the beach to meet Draco and Hermione. The other two were still in the water with Draco's arms wrapped around Hermione. She was facing away from Draco but leaning back into his chest and they were both looking out into the water, chatting quietly to one another.

"Hey lovebirds!" Ginny called out, laying her towel out next to Hermione's.

Hermione and Draco both turned around and waved. Hermione held up her glass and said, "There's daiquiris in the kitchen!"

Ginny waded into the water, shaking her head. "I'll get one later."

Blaise suddenly ran in after her and tackled her into the water, his laughter mixing with her surprised shriek. Ginny gasped for air as she resurfaced and punched him in the arm, coughing up some water. "Blaise!"

He was laughing as he held out a hand and helped her back up. "I'm sorry, I couldn't resist."

Hermione and Draco were laughing also as Ginny finished coughing and glared at her husband. "I should hex you right now."

"What's the point of getting in the water if you're not going to get wet?" Blaise shrugged, still grinning.

"He has a point," Draco said then, giving Hermione an evil look.

"Ohhh no you don't," Hermione warned, moving away from Draco quickly.

It was Blaise and Ginny's turn to laugh at Draco and Hermione while Draco chased her through the water, Hermione yelling and laughing at the same time.

"Draco, I have a drink!" She exclaimed as she awkwardly ran through the waves.

"I will give you ten seconds to go put it next to your towel," He warned playfully, grinning from ear to ear.

She laughed and shifted her weight to one leg, raising an eyebrow at him. "You realize that if you give me the chance to get out, I won't come back in as long as you intend to attack me."

"One..."

Hermione immediately got out of the water and took a long drink before setting her glass down in the sand. Hands immediately grabbed her waist and picked her up, and she realized a bit too late that Draco had followed her out of the water and onto the beach.

"No! That's not fair!" She yelled as she was carried back into the water.

He simply laughed and adjusted her so that he was cradling her in his arms and grinned at her as he stood in water up to his mid-thigh. "Give me a kiss and I'll let you down."

Scowling, she leaned up and gave him a quick peck. He scowled in return and promptly dropped her into the water, grinning at her gasp in surprise. Blaise and Ginny were nearly doubled over in laughter as she came back up, glaring at Draco.

"You prat!" She yelled through a grin, splashing him with water as revenge.

Soon an all-out splash war erupted between the four of them and the air was filled with laughter. Any worries that Hermione had were quickly forgotten for the rest of the day.

"Hey, 'Mione?" Ginny started slowly.

"Hmm?"

"Do you ever think about what your children with Draco will be like?"

Hermione turned her head to look at the red head in surprise. It was a couple days later, and the two girls were sunbathing together on the beach while their Veelas were inside the manor.
