Hermione sighed and closed her eyes, enjoying the warmth of the sand underneath her beach towel. She definitely needed the vacation away from everything; away from the stress, from her job, from the attacks. The sun felt amazing on her skin, and she shifted slightly as she let out another sigh.

"Remind me to get us a house on a beach," Draco said from next to her. "I want to see you relaxing on the sand every day for the rest of my life."

She giggled and turned her head to look at him. He was on his side facing her, his head propped up with his elbow. She could feel a small hum of contentedness coming from him and there was a hint of lust weaving in and out of it.

"I would like a little beach cottage," She said then, closing her eyes and turning her head back to look up at the sky. "Somewhere where it's always warm."

"I'm sure I could arrange that," Draco said with a grin. "Away from everyone else so we wouldn't have to worry about clothes."

She reached over to blindly smack his arm. "Keep dreaming, Malfoy."

"Don't need to tell me twice." He winked at her and pressed a kiss into the back of her hand. "Another drink, dearest?"

"Why thank you, love!" She said happily, handing her empty glass over to him. "Another daiquiri please!"

"Whatever the lady wants!" He laughed as he stood up. "Hopefully Blaise and Ginny will be joining us soon."

"Be patient, Draco," She said. "They just got married yesterday. And besides, I've been enjoying our time alone together."

"True." He sighed and brushed the sand off his shorts. "I'll be right back."

She rolled over onto her stomach and watched him as he walked away towards the manor. She couldn't help but smile as she rested her chin on her arms, closing her eyes again when he disappeared through the doors.

The sound of the waves crashing against the sand behind her almost lulled her to sleep. If she could, she would have stayed there on that beach forever. It was so peaceful and serene, and there were no Death Eaters trying to hunt them down there.

She sighed frustratedly and rolled back over, sitting up and pulling her knees against her chest. They would have to go back eventually; back to the danger and possible further attacks. A vacation was nice and certainly needed, but was it worth it when they were essentially delaying everything that was going to happen?

Hermione shook her head at that thought and stood up, quickly walking out into the water. It was fairly warm, but not warm enough to get her mind off her previous thoughts. She crossed her arms against her chest and waded out until the water hit her knees, sighing as the water lapped at her skin with every wave.

"And I thought you laying on the sand was a beautiful sight."

She jumped when she heard Draco's voice from behind her, turning around to see him grinning at her as he waded into the water.

"What's got you so worried, sweetheart?" He asked quietly, wrapping an arm around her waist and handing her drink to her.

She took the drink from him and chewed on the inside of her cheek, avoiding his eyes. "Do you think we're just putting off the inevitable by coming here?"

He frowned. "What do you mean?"

She sighed and looked down at their feet. "Gin and I are under attack, and we rush off to have a quick wedding ceremony for them and basically hide away for a little over a week? We're not doing anything productive by staying here; we're just going to be returning to the same situation when we get back."
