They had to make a few stops before landing in front of St. Mungo's due to the range and Draco's unstableness from trying to control his Veela, but he immediately rushed her inside the building without a word.
The Welcome Witch greeted them. "Hello dears, how can I help you?"
Draco leaned in and quietly said, "She needs to be looked over and treated for any possible spell damage. She was kidnapped by Death Eaters who were known for using the Cruciatus curse, and she most likely has been subjected to that curse. Please admit her to the Malfoy suite immediately."
The Welcome Witch's eyes widened slightly as she glanced over to Hermione but she nodded and made notes on her desk somewhere. Hermione watched quietly, the exhaustion of everything finally hitting her. Draco noticed this and wrapped an arm around her waist, partially to hold her up and keep her from falling over but also to remind himself that she was actually there with him and was safe again.
Two Healers, one man and one woman in lime green robes approached them and Draco growled slightly as they neared, causing them to pause hesitantly.
"Sir, we need to take Miss Granger to the fourth floor for evaluating," One Healer said cautiously.
"I'm coming with her," Draco stated as he straightened up slightly. "And it will be in the private Malfoy suite."
Hermione looked up and saw that his eyes were still black and sighed, looking back at the Healers. "It's best if he comes, we can explain why once we get there."
After a few moments, one of the Healers nodded and led them away, Draco keeping Hermione close to him. She leaned into him as they followed the Healers into an elevator and he quietly pressed a kiss to the side of her head.
"How are you feeling?" He asked quietly as they waited to get to the fourth floor.
"Tired, and sore," She answered truthfully.
He gave her a small squeeze and when the elevator came to a stop, they followed the Healers out of it and down a hallway.
"Can you tell us if Blaise and Ginny Zabini are here?" Hermione asked.
One of the Healers glanced back at her over his shoulder and answered, "They checked in not too long before you did."
"Good," Hermione muttered.
They were led into a large room away from the others, one that was decorated lavishly, for a hospital room. The bed was more like an actual bed instead of one of the typical small hospital ones, and it even had two bedside tables. There was a fireplace towards the back of the room and two large armchairs in front of it that faced the bed.
"Of course your hospital room is fancy too," Hermione sighed, rolling her eyes.
Draco didn't smile however, leading her over to the bed. He could feel something off with Hermione, a deep ache resonating from her. How many curses did she take?
She laid down onto the soft sheets with a sigh and closed her eyes, hearing the door close. There were footsteps that stopped next to her and at the foot of her bed, and she felt Draco's hand take hers.
"Sir, we will need you to step out of the room for the evaluation," The female Healer said sternly.
"Not bloody likely," Draco scoffed. "I'm staying right here."
Hermione squeezed Draco's hand and looked at him. "Be nice."
Then she turned to the Healers and said, "It will be impossible to get him to leave so I would drop that particular subject."
