chapter ten

Talia's POV

The next day, the sun decided to come out meaning we couldn't go to school. Edward however, being the creep person he is, decided to go hang out in the woods by the school. He said that he "just wanted to make sure Bella would be okay." Edward, more like Edweirdo. Ha, puns.

I, however, was sitting on the couch watching the Titanic with Emmett and Jasper. Esme was cleaning up a mess that Max and Emmett had made over night. Rose was doing the laundry and Alice was going through everyone's closets and picking out the clothes that we didn't wear anymore. Carlisle was partially watching the movie and flipping through a book about South American legends.

"Is that almost over?" Max groaned from the kitchen floor. "Shut up Max. It'll be over when it's over," Emmett yelled. Max groaned louder. "Alice come deal with your man!" I yelled. I heard a small thump and then Alice ran down the stairs, stopping on the second to last step. "Max, will you come upstairs and help me?"

He got up off the floor and and slowly walked towards Alice. He moved slowly in front of the TV and Emmett kicked his feet, making him go faster. "You guys are so mean to me," Max mumbled. "Go upstairs, Max," Carlisle said with a small smile. Max sighed and chased Alice up the stairs.

When the clouds came back, we went back to school. It was a Friday, meaning the weekend and no people, yay. I drove the jeep and Jasper sat in the passengers seat. Emmett and Max were in the back, which was a horrible idea because they kept kicking the back of my seat and I almost wrecked 3 times.

"Oh my God! If you two don't stop, I'm going to throw you into wolf territory," I threatened, tightening my grip on the steering wheel. Jasper put a hand on my thigh and rubbed, using his gift to calm me down.

When we finally pulled into the parking lot, with Alice and Rose behind us, I shut the jeep off and jumped out running to Alice. "Please never make me drive both of them at the same time ever again! I will die, if I don't kill them first," I said hugging her. "Oh, she's exaggerating. It wasn't that bad," Max said. "It was pretty bad," Jasper said wrapping his arms around my waist and putting his chin on my shoulder.

Alice giggled and patted my shoulder, "You don't have to do that again Tali." I nodded, a thankful smile on my face. Bella was looking across the parking lot at us, like usual. I rolled my eyes as Edward stared back at her. Weirdo, I thought. Edward glared at me and I just looked away.

That night, I layed in my and Jasper's room reading a book while he was in the shower. Suddenly the door flew open and Alice came bouncing in. "Hey Tali! Do you want to to shopping next weekend?" She asked. "Ya sure. Seattle or Port Angeles?" "Either, maybe both. I'm not sure yet," she shrugged. I nodded and she clapped her hands, "Yay!" She ran back out of the room as Jasper came out of the bathroom with only a towel around his waist.

"Lookin' good babe," I winked. He grinned and jumped on the bed beside me, causing his towel to fall off. I giggled and he smirked at me. "Go get dressed," I said. He pouted at me. "Go on," I encouraged. "Fine, I just wished you loved me," he said sarcastically. "Oh don't even. You know I love you," I said. He smiled, "I know, I just like hearing you say it."

"I love you Jasper Andrew Whitlock," I said smiling. "I love you too, Talia Fay Wilson." He pulled his sweat pants on and leaned down and kissed my lips.

Edward got home late that night. "Where have you been?" Max asked. "With Bella." Oh my fucking God. We're all going to die. "We're not going to die, Talia," Edward snapped. "Stay outta my head, would ya?" I asked annoyed. "I agree with Tali. This isn't safe," Rosalie said. "Well I think it's great!" Alice said. "Carlisle? What do you think?" I asked. He sighed, "I think, that Edward has the right to be with his mate. Even if she is human," he said.

"I honestly don't care, I just think that y'all should stop arguing over it," Max said. "We didn't ask for your opinion Max," Rose said. He rolled his eyes, "You're so sassy." Now it was Rosalie's turn to roll her eyes. Emmett laughed, "You are sassy. It's adorable," he said. She glared at him and he put his hands up in surrender.

"What were you doing with Bella, tonight?" Esme asked. "I saved her from drunk guys, then took her to get something to eat." Edward said. I miss eating, it was like my favorite thing to do. "Well that was awfully sweet of you. Did you tell her anything? Or are you waiting for her to find out by herself?" Esme questioned. "I dropped a couple of hints, but I didn't tell her anything."

"Wow, way to cheat the system dude," I mumbled. He ignored me,  but that's not anything new. "I'm going upstairs." And then he was gone.

The Monday after that, when we got to school, Bella was watching us intently. She started walking towards us all while keeping eye contact with Edward. She changed direction and started walking towards the forest instead, and Edward followed her.

My jaw dropped as I watched their bodies disappear into the trees. "What the fuck does he think he's doing?" I asked. "Putting our family at risk, that's what," Rosalie said through clenched teeth. Emmett rubbed her back, trying to calm her down. The bell rang and we went into school.

"Calm down Talia. It can't be too bad," Jasper told me. I shook my head, "Jasper, we both know that this is going to be a disaster. If they end up together, she's going to be at our house. Our house. I don't know if I'll be able to control myself if she's in our house!" I said. Jasper shh-ed me and brushed the hair out of my face. "It'll be alright darlin'." "I'm gonna take your word for it," I said and kissed his lips. He smiled, "That'll work for now, then."
