I saw you today smiling, I watched you from afar afraid that, once I get closer that smile will fade away...

"What are you planning now?." Beam asked Kit as they stayed at the visitor's area of the hospital. The place is deserted for its pretty late already.

"I don't know." Kit gripped the paper cup that contains coffee that is not too warm.

"Do you think it Mingkwan's parents?, if they did it... What are you going to do?." Beam watched his best friend's face fell even more.

"I don't know."

"Is it about the engagement?, Kit listen to me..wait for Mingkwan's explanation first before you decide."

"Beam, you think I should had not get involved with him?, because the more my feelings deepen the more things get complicated, I thought it doesn't matter.. If his parent's treat him badly I will take care of him but am I too selfish to forgot how my parents would feel?." Kit is thinking can he take it if its his parents who's hurting?

"There are many types of parents, parents that will move heaven and hell to protect their child and make sure they are happy and that's your parents, there are parents who think their child as a trophy..the one who will put them on top and that's my parents, and there are types that born their child and go on with their lives forgetting about that life they created, you think Mingkwan had it all?, he is more pitiful than me."  Beam wrapped his arm over Kit's shoulder.

Mingkwan rushed out his car not bothering to closed the vehicle as he sprint inside.

The sleepy woman in the information stared at Ming's face agape, recognizing the handsome face.

"Miss Engineer Intochar's room number please." Mingkwan said arrogantly, annoyed by the gawking of the receptionist.

"I'm sorry sir..um 308." The lady stuttered blushing.

Mingkwan almost running to the said room but he halted when he passed by Kit and Phana's brother.
The two are facing away from him with Kit's head resting on beam's shoulder.

Mingkwan's chest tighten with the sight. They are best of friends, nothing more. The CEO convinced himself.

"Kit!" Mingkwan called. The two friends turned around and looked at him.
Kit's tired eyes sweep Mingkwan's being. The exhausted businessman wanted to cage the latter to his arms.
Inhale the scent that always calm him down.

"Hey, is your dad okay now? I hope he is fine." Mingkwan said trying to dissipate the awkward silence.

"He is better now, thanks for asking." Kit said coldly. He wanted to give Ming the benefit of the doubt but the pain that attacked him the moment that news flashed on his face is ugly.
And now the case about his parents. Can he handle it if something happened to his parents just because he chooses someone out of his league?

"Kit, about the thing this- this morning." Mingkwan looked at Beam but Kit's hand grabbed his friend's wrist stopping him from leaving. Mingkwan frown at that.
