Forgiveness can be earn if you are willing...

Kit is not sure how he end up over late lunch sitting in front of two intimidating couple aka Mingkwan's parents.

The foods are good no doubt with that but how can someone enjoy their meal when you can't even chew your food.

"Is the food not to your liking?." Eadric asked Kit.

Kit smile or more likely grimace at Ming's father. "It is sir, thank you."

"So I can say that you are just not comfortable with our presence." The older man commented. Kit involuntarily flinch with that But he cannot deny that truth.

"I am uncomfortable so its not a surprise that he is." Mingkwan butted in. Kit's foot raise and dropped on the tactless idiot own.

Mingkwan groaned in pain while glaring at Kit.

"What is that for? I think my toes are all dead?" Mingkwan snapped at Kit without any care.

"That's just right for someone who don't know how to watch their mouth." Kit said with challenging glare.

"But its the truth!." Mingkwan protested.

"Even its the truth doesn't meant you have to actually say it."

The older couple watch the two banter like they've been together for a while. They watch as Ming turn into a whiney brat that they never seen for a long while that they already forgot how their youngest son can be sweet and a brat at the same time.

"You've change." Miliya said in low voice.
The childish lovers both looked at the old lady, Kit is red from embarrassment for forgetting where they are and Ming who is looking at his mother blankly.

"What do you mean?." Mingkwan is so used on his mother being mean at him that every time she talks Mingkwan's mind automatically goes to defensive mode. He knows it will take time for him to have his guard lowered. Being hurt countless of time gave him the trauma that made him not to trust right away.

"You are not too serious anymore." Its a statement which in a way is true.

"He lose that thing that crawled into his bum and died ma'am, making him loosen up a bit."  Kit couldn't help but chirp in. He laugh when Ming looked at him like he is the most unbelievable human being.

Mingkwan was shocked when he heard his mother giggle. She giggled!

Eadric watched his wife with teary eyes then turn to Mingkwan.
He stared on his son's eyes who's is not backing down. A characteristics that Ming got from him. They both hate losing.
"I'm wrong, I'm apologizing for not being the father that you needed, I'm sorry for not being able to protect you from my wife, all I saw is her nightmares and not yours....its my fault that her depression became destructive..I will accept everything.. No I accepted already that you hate me, that you hate us..because we failed you." Eadric looked like he became years older. Not the dominating businessman, just a defeated father. A normal man who love his wife too much.

Mingkwan sighed. He just can't have a break isn't he?
"I never hated you guys, but it doesn't mean that I am not mad because I am...I was a child, you two should have known better but however we blame each other, we can never bring the past back, I can't forgive you now, not yet..please give me time, when the time is right we will know when ready."

Eadric and Miliya nodded their heads repeatedly. As much as they can breath easy is as much as the punch in the gut by the emotional attack hurts. The truth hurts and Mingkwan is stating the fact. Even the truth is painful they have to accept it.
