Chapter 22: The woman

.....Few days later.....

I was shopping for some girly stuff when I heard some brawl happening outside the mall. A man was hitting a helpless woman. Everyone was standing there like idiots not doing anything. I tried talking to the security about breaking it up but they were afraid of risking their lives.

I couldn't stand there and do nothing. He kept shouting at her slapping her. She stood there in tears trying to say something but it was unsuccessful. I went over and tried to do something.

Ritasha: Hey!! Leave her alone!!!

Man: Who the hell are you? Leave us alone.

Woman: Please go...

Ritasha: I'm not going anywhere! This is a public place and you can't abuse her like this.

Man: Oh what are you going to do about it?

The man was nearing me in his tall frame and I was starting to get scared. So I took my phone out my back pocket and speed dialled Mahir so that he could hear. Mahir always answers my calls.

Man: I asked you a fucking question woman!! Don't you dare interfere when I'm talking to my wife.

Ritasha: She's your wife...and you doing that to her?!! You should be fucking hanged to death for raising your hand at a woman!!!

The man tried to slap me but I caught his hand within seconds. I wondered how Mahir would find me because I couldn't directly speak to him.

Ritasha: I'm not going to be your victim.

Woman: He's very dangerous....go from here before he harms you.

Ritasha: Don't worry, he won't harm you or any other woman ever again!!

I kneed the ugly man's balls.

Man: You bitch!!!

The man falls to the floor in pain.

Ritasha: You're a bitch....real men don't do this to women. (Turning to the public) AND PEOPLE SHOULDN'T STAND OUTSIDE ROSEWOOD MALL AND WATCH DRAMA WHEN A WOMAN IS IN TROUBLE.

Everyone disperses with an assholic attitude. I finally check my phone but Mahir wasn't on call. Did he hear anything? I go to the woman and check her bruised face.

"Are you okay?"

"Thank you so much...."

"Don't thank me....it's my duty."

All of a sudden I hear a police siren nearing and the man tried to make a run for it but he stumbled right before the police van.

Man: I won't spare you woman!!! Both of you.

Abhishek: Oh fuck you man!!!

Abhi handcuffs the man and throws him into the van and he approaches us.

Abhishek: Are you both okay?
