The night was a blur. It happened too fast. She couldn't feel anything.  Except for maybe one feeling: Shame. Why did she feel like that? The men attacked her, not the other way around.

She heard someone calling her name, but she couldn't make out who it was. Her eyes felt heavy. She knew the voice, but she couldn't see the face. She felt drifting away, she knew she couldn't stay awake any longer. The person came closer.

Combeferre saw a helpless person on the ground. The person looked familiar. He knew the person. He went closer to see who it was, then it hit him. It was Juliette.

"Juliette, whatever you do, don't close your eyes. I'm here to help you.", he said in a calm voice, although he was so close to panicking. He lifted the hurt girl up and carried her back to the Café.

By the time they reached the Café, she had her eyes closed and she was breathing slowly. Too slow on his opinion. "Clear the table.", he yelled into the room, making everyone jump. "Do it."

Feuilly threw all the papers to the floor while Grantaire put down his bottle. Bossuet took another table and put it right next to the other. Combeferre put her on the table. His shirt was covered in blood.

"Someone get me cold water with a cloth." Feuilly ran and got him the cold water. Bahorel got him the cloth. He dipped the cloth into the cold water and dabbed it onto her face. Her face was full of bruises.

Her nose was bleeding. She had a graze on her head too. At least she was breathing normally. "Grantaire, do you have some alcohol left?" The drunkard nodded and handed him the bottle. He poured it over her graze to disinfect it.

After a while, he had her fixed up again. "Who would do something like that? Why her?", the poet asked his friend. He looked sad, he clearly looked like he was about to cry. "I don't know. I don't have an answer to that." "Let's hope that Courfeyrac won't find out.", Feuilly said.

"Courfeyrac is not stupid. He will be a lawyer. He will find out. One way or another.", Combeferre explained. "We can just tell Courfeyrac that she has gotten ill.", said Jehan, "he wouldn't know." "Can you really lie to Fey? He doesn't deserve being lied to.", Combeferre said with a sigh. "I know. It was just a thought." "A stupid idea indeed.", he said, rolling his eyes.

"Maybe we should just tell him tomorrow.", Feuilly commented. "Do you want us to get killed? Courfeyrac will kill us if we didn't immediately inform him about something like that.", Bahorel added.

"Maybe let her rest first. She should tell him.", Joly added. He just entered the room. He must have forgotten something. "You're right.", Combeferre said. Everyone went back to talking like they were before. Joly was right. She needed to rest now.

(AN: Yay, a new chapter. Had a writers block. What do you think is going to happen now? Will Juliette tell him about what happened or will any of the boys do it?)
