Waiting. That's all she did. Grantaire had fallen asleep and she was still sitting there, sometimes even pacing around the hospital.

She had to find out what happened after they left. She walked up to a Nurse. "Madame, my friend, right there. Please do a check up on him too. I have to get some things but I will be back soon.", she said.
The nurse nodded and Juliette walked out of the hospital.

She took the fastest route to get back to the barricade. It was silent. No one could be heard. There were lying bodies on the ground, mixed with those of Feuilly, Bahorel and Bossuet. But where were the others? She walked inside the Café. No was there. She slowly stepped on the remaining stairs and walked up. The stairs must have been chopped off. "Hello?", she called out. She could hear a noise, like if there was someone hiding. "Who's there?", she asked. She still put on a brave face.

She didn't want to show how scared she was. She looked around the room and behind a table, that Marius had forgotten to put on the barricade, Combeferre walked out. He came towards her and embraced her in a tight hug. His face showed signs of dirt, blood and fear. Juliette hugged him back and Combeferre let out a shaky sob. "It's okay. You are alive.", she said.

More and more of the remaining boys came out. Jehan was crying, Gavroche was crying. And Enjolras? Enjolras was crying too. They all came out of their hiding spot and gave Juliette a tight hug. Even Joly. "It's fine. It's over.", she whispered. "Where's Courf?", Gavroche asked.

"Courfeyrac is in the hospital. He lost convictions. Grantaire is still there. I think you guys should go there too.", she said. "We're Revolutionaries. They won't treat us." "They will. I took the pins off before we walked in.", she explained.

The boys stood up and Jehan helped Juliette up.
"Did you guys win at least?", she asked. Enjolras nodded and for the first time, the leader had smiled and everyone saw it. "We should leave now. All of us.", Juliette suggested.

They sneaked out of the Café, incase the National Guard has come back. A few minutes later, they had reached the hospital. And then it meant: even more waiting. Grantaire wasn't sitting there anymore which means they must have done a check-up already.

She had fallen asleep during the waiting. It was a long night and she didn't get enough sleep. She was scared that she wouldn't see her soon-to-be husband again.

A nurse came over and shook her shoulders. "Madame, your husband has woken up. He's fine and we took the bullet out." "Thank you. Where can I find him?", she asked. "He's over there. In the room.", the nurse said with a smile. Juliette got up from her seat and walked into the room. Courfeyrac had his eyes closed but he was breathing.

And that was all she wanted. She walked closer to him and took his hand. He slowly opened his eyes and met her beautiful brown eyes. The eyes ,he had fallen in love with, once upon a time. "Juliette, you are alive." "So are you.", she said. "How is the baby?" "I'm sure the baby is fine. I was hit in the shoulder and Joly removed it.", she said. "My friends. What about them?", he asked.

"You should get better first." "No, where are they? Are they okay? Did they-", he asked. "No, they're fine. They are here in the hospital. I went back to the barricade and they were hiding. I found them. We only lost Feuilly, Bahorel and Bossuet. And Eponine.", she said with tears in her eyes.

(A/N: so they are all alive?! Like wow 🎉 at first I wasn't sure whether they would survive or not but then I remembered how much I cried during their deaths in the movie. Of course, I had to let them survive. Leave your thoughts on this chapter below )
