I stepped out of the shower, with a towel wrapped tightly around myself. I walked up to the mirror and wiped the fog away, looking into the mirror and examining my new hair color; dark brown, almost black with purple streaks. I’d gotten tired of my natural hair color, a dirty blonde. I liked how the dark brown and purple looked with my blue & green eyes. I smiled, and grabbed the hair dryer.

After blow drying my hair, I put on the dress I’d bought earlier that day, it was strapless, a little shorter than knee length, and purple; my favorite color. I examined my face, and decided I didn’t need to put on cover up this time. I applied mascara, eyeliner and eye shadow. Once I was happy with how my face looked, I pulled out my straightener and straightened my wavy hair, my hair is long, down to my mid-back so it’s a nuisance to take care of, but I love it anyways.

“Are you done yet?” My best friend Shay called from the other room.

“Yeah, I’m coming out.” I called, straightening my front bangs; they end right above my eyes.

I walked out of the bathroom and watched with amusement, as my best friend Shay’s jaw dropped. I blushed and laughed “Shay, close your mouth, or else I giant bug’s going to fly in.

She closed her mouth but glared at me, “It’s not fair how freaking beautiful you are.”

I blushed, “Hey, you’re prettier than I am.”

She’s short, shorter than me, which is pretty short, has eyes the color of milk chocolate and she dyes her hair all the time. It was currently blue, and I loved it on her; her hair was also short as well, it looked so cute on her. The dress she was wearing was skin tight, a little shorter than knee length, and the same blue her hair was.

“Nope” she replied.

I sighed “We are not having this argument”

“Fine” she grinned.

I grinned back “You’re such a loser.” I said, winking at her

She stuck her tongue out at me “Love you too.”

“I know” I replied

She blushed and laughed nervously. “You ready to go?”

“Yup” I replied.

We both put on the silver heels we got to match our dresses.

“Let’s go get drunk and dance our pants off!” Shay yelled enthusiastically.

I laughed and cheered, pumping my fist.

We walked out the door of the apartment we shared; this was going to be a night to remember.
