Chapter 11: The Attack

“Well, well, well. What do we have here?” A tall, muscular man with hair the color of blood purred.

“Seems like we got a Moroi with two human girls,” Growled his friend, another tall, muscular man, but this one had brown hair.

“Which should we take?” Asked the third man, who was a little shorter, but a lot more muscular, and had blonde hair.

“You’re not taking any of us.” Adrian replied, standing in front of me and Shay protectively.

The blonde man grabbed Adrian so fast, there was no way Adrian could have seen it coming, and threw him against the brick wall, knocking him unconscious.

“We can take one to keep, and feed on the other as a snack.” The red-head purred.

“Deal” the blonde and black-haired said together.

“Laura…” Shay called nervously, grabbing onto my arm in fear, “what’s going on?”

“Shhh,” I called, pulling her towards me protectively

“You. Will. Not. Touch. Her.” I said, in a voice that didn’t sound like my own.

The three men looked at each other briefly, then turned to Shay

“Come with us” They said in unison, looking in her eyes

Shit, I thought, not compulsion

“NO!” I screamed, jumping in front of her to try and stop them from using compulsion on her

The blonde one grabbed my arm roughly and pushed me away. I fell and smacked my head on the brick wall.

I looked up, dazed, to see Shay walking away with them. I tried to get up, but I was too dizzy. A few minutes later, they returned,

“Let’s not take too much,” The red-head said “I want this one alive for when the boy wakes up”

     They all took turns drinking from me, and the bliss was euphoric. I was flying and I couldn’t think about anything except how nice it felt, I didn’t even remember why I felt like this. Then, it was over, and I was left in the darkness of the alley. I remembered what happened, and I tried to get up and follow, but I was too weak from blood-loss.

I screamed,

Then everything went black,
