I decided to call her Macy, and when we brought her home, I gave her a day to get used to the place, because I was afraid that if I gave her more, something could happen to Shayla. So, after that day, I asked my neighbor to take care of her, telling her I was going to visit a sick friend. After all the packing was done, I decided to look through some of the pictures in the albums that were given to me by my parents, as Adrian looked at them with me, he'd laugh at the silly ones of me. I saw one specific picture I loved, it was of Adam and I, when we were quite little, so I decided to take it out and put it in my wallet, since it was small enough to fit. I looked through the others, smiling at happy memories from when I was a little girl, and chose a few more pictures for my wallet, as well as taking some favorites out that were too small for my wallet to go in framed around the apartment.

"Are you ready to go he asked?" Adrian asked, putting his hand on my waist and looking in my eyes.

I took a deep breath, "Yes, I'm ready to get Shayla back.

"Then let's go," replied Adrian

Adrian and I stepped out of the taxi in front of a large, very expensive looking hotel called the Red Grenade Hotel.

"Well," I paused "We're here.

Adrian pulled me into a hug, kissing the top of my head. Then he pulled away to grab our bag from the trunk of the taxi. I walked slowly towards the entrance, with Adrian walking beside me, he had insisted on carrying the bag, since we didn't need much for the trip, we just came to get Shay and then we'd be far away as soon as possible.

I looked over the note again "Black lily... Room 394..." Trying to memorize the details we were given. I reached the front desk, I looked up nervously, but the attendant was oblivious.

"Hello and welcome to the Red Grenade Hotel, how may I help you?" the young man asked in a pleasant voice, making it mildly obvious that he was checking me out while he said it.

I dropped my voice down to a whisper and leaned close to him "Black lily"

A look of fear crossed his face for only a second, it was gone as soon as it appeared. He handed me the envelope silently, then I thanked him and walked away.

Adrian and I took the elevator up to the floor where their room was, and as we walked, I became more afraid with each step, I didn't want to see the men again, who I'd had nightmares about, but I hadn't told Adrian, because I didn't want him to worry about me. We stopped in front of the door marked '394', I took a deep breath and knocked 3 times at the door. I heard footsteps approaching the door, and I held my breath as the door opened.

"Well, well, well," said the man standing at the door, "You're finally here."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I ran over to Shayla as the men checked the bag to make sure there was no weapons, and they surprisingly didn't try to stop me, maybe because they knew I wouldn't try anything when her life was at risk.

"Laura!" Shayla squeaked out, "I knew you would come."

I hugged her from where she was, sitting on a chair, looking terrified.

"Of course," I answered, on the verge of tears, "I could never abandon you, and I'm sorry I took so long."

I straightened up after a minute and turned to face the men "What do you want, I'll give you anything to get her back."

The blonde one smiled a terrifing smile, "You."

"NEVER." Adrian snarled, baring his teeth angrily

"Adrian, stop it." I replied, walking over to him, but keeping an eye on Shayla.

"Laura, they can't have you, do you realize that Rose is gonig to kill me if she finds out."

I sighed, "And she won't, you just are going to have to keep it from her."

I looked up at the blonde guy, "Okay, you can have me, and you'll leave Adrian and Shayla alone, forever? No following them or anything."

"Fine, fine. We just want you." the blonde guy smiles down at me again, and that smile made shivers run down my spine, I tried to look up at him and seem fearless, but it didn't work the greatest.

"Can I have time to say goodbye?" I asked

"Fine," the blonde guy said, and he told one of his guys to walk us downstairs to make sure I didn't try to make a break for it.

In the lobby, I hugged Shayla tightly as tears ran down her face

"Laura," she choked out "Don't do this, not for me."

I hugged her back tightly, letting some tears slip from my eyes as well, "I have to, you're too important to me, I couldn't just let you be a prisoner for the rest of your life. Take care of Macy, please."

After I was finished hugging her, I turned to Adrian, and he pulled me into a crushing hug, holding me against him for as long as he could.

He pulled away after a few minutes and looked me in the eyes

"I love you, Laura." he said, with his eyes swimming with tears, then he crushed his lips against mine, kissing me with more passion than anyone had ever kissed me, but also with an urgency.

When he pulled away, I looked him in the eyes, put my hands on his face, "I love you too, Adrian." I said, then I turned away and walked back to the elevator with the man. As the elevator closed, I stared into the face of the two people I loved for the last time.
