I opened my eyes, not sure where I was. I was confused, I was sure I had fallen asleep in a taxi and now I was in a bed. I got out of the bed and noticed I was wearing a nightgown I didn't recognize. The last thing I remembered was falling asleep while cuddling with Adrian. Speaking of Adrian...
"Adrian?" I called uncertainly as I observed my surroundings, I had no idea whose bedroom I was in. I felt weird, as if this wasn't entirely real, or something. Adrian walked in wearing nothing but boxers, it was the first time I'd seen him shirtless, and I couldn't help but stare, he had a breathtaking body.
"Where are we?" I asked
"My room" he replied, putting his hands on my waist and pulling me towards him.
"But… how?" I asked
"Spirit dream" Adrian replied, smiling at me and kissing me enthusiastically.
My eyes widened in wonder "Cool," I whispered
We talked for some time while in the spirit dream.
Eventually, Adrian ended the spirit dream, and we woke up just as the taxi was pulling into the hotel. We got out of the taxi and headed to our room with the stuff we brought from my parent's house. We didn't take long to pack and soon we were sitting on the bed waiting for our flight. As we waited, we looked through the photo album my parents put together and ate cake we had made.
After about an hour, we decided to head to the airport, and a truck arrived with the couch. We boarded the plane and I almost immediately fell asleep. I opened my eyes and saw Adrian's bedroom again. I was wearing another nightgown, and he was wearing silk boxers. I tried again in vain not to stare, Adrian had such an amazing body, and I think I blushed.
Adrian walked up to me and started kissing me, with so much passion, it was intense. As we kissed, he picked me up and carried me to his bed. As we broke away to catch our breath, I giggled and he gently laid me on the bed. He held my face gently and started kissing me. With a speed I didn’t know I had, I flipped over so that I was sitting on top of Adrian. He looked surprised that I was now sitting on top of him, but he still had a smile on his face.
“Hi” I said, grinning
“Hello beautiful” he replied, running his hand along my face.
“So why did you decide to bring me into another spirit dream?” I asked
“To be alone with you, in case you wanted to talk without anyone overhearing, like if you wanted to talk about how we’re going to save Shay. What’s your plan?”
“Well…” I hesitated “I was planning on a rescue mission, but we’re going to need guardians, since we probably won’t be able to take Strigoi on ourselves.”
“Yeah, that’s true. Who would we ask? Rose is Lissa’s guardian, so unless we brought the Queen, which would be a very bad idea, Rose won’t be able to come.
“Knowing Lissa, she’ll either insist on coming, or since she’s the Queen and could probably get away with it, choose to have another Dhampir temporarily while Rose comes with us. If she did, Dimitri would probably want to come, too. You’d be okay with them there, won’t you? I don’t want you thinking about what happened… And to be completely honest I hated her for a bit for what she did to you. You didn’t deserve to be hurt in that way. You deserved to be happy, and you still do.” I blushed at my little ramble.
“I’ll be fine,” Adrian said, pulling me closer to him, “Now that I have you”
I blushed again “Okay” I said
“Mia and Eddie will probably want to go too,” Adrian said
“No way,” I replied “Someone has to stay home and take care of baby Lissa, Mia can stay.
“Okay, so Rose, Dimitri, maybe Lissa, and Eddie. Who else do you think would want to help?” Adrian said, ticking each person off on his fingers.
“If Lissa goes, Christian will definitely want to come along, and protect her.”
“Alright, we’ll figure the rest out when we get home. We should probably wake up now, the plane is probably going to land soon” Adrian said
“Okay” I replied, kissing him
The spirit dream ended and I opened my eyes to see Adrian opening his as well. He smiled at me and I smiled back, and then he kissed me. We landed shortly after and took a taxi back to my place.
I opened the door and after putting my bags and the things I brought back from my parents’ house, I walked into the kitchen to get snack and noticed a note on the fridge, I didn’t remember seeing it before. I took it off the fridge and it said:
We still have your little friend; she’s still alive, for now. Come and try to save her, I dare you. Come to the Red Grenade Hotel in New York. Just you and the boy who was there that day, and if you bring anyone else, we’ll kill the girl. When you get there, say to the person at the front desk, “Black lily” and he or she will give you an envelope. Inside will be the key to our room, which is number 394. We hope to see you very soon.
I looked up at Adrian, “Well, there goes our plan. Are you sure you want to come with me?”
Adrian pulled me in to his arms “I would never let you go alone babe. And besides, Shay’s been with those bastards long enough.”
“Okay” I said, smiling slightly up at him and leaning my head on his chest.
He put 2 fingers gently under my chin, lifted my head to look at him and slowly bent down to press his lips against mine.
