"Dear Lord, Louis that nature experience was atrocious," Liam groaned as he entered the house.
Tossing his backpack on the floor, he started to remove his clothes, rushing to the shower.
"Whoever thought it would be a good idea to take a bunch of middle schoolers on a week long hike is absolutely high out of their mind!" He huffed.
Louis who was sitting in the kitchen, cackled. "So you had a fun time?"
Liam slammed the door in respond. "Very funny."
Once Liam was properly cleaned up and dressed, he opened the fridge to check what was inside.
"Louis! You didn't get groceries?" he said.
"Sorry," Louis replied. "I've been eating out a lot. With Harry."
"Harry? Oh, you mean, Blake. Well, Harry Blake. You explained the whole thing to me over the phone....So Harry. How's that going, lad?" Liam said, grabbing a packet of microwave French fries from the freezer.
Louis shrugged and smiled softly. "Well, I think. Moving kind of slow. All we've done is kiss so far."
"Do you like him?" Liam asked, his amber eyes shining. Liam was not a nature buff, but he most definitely was a hopeless romantic.
"Y-yeah," Louis said, rubbing the back of his neck. "It's just I feel a bit embarrassed because I got super drunk in the bar that first night and told him all my life problems."
"Oh," Liam said. "Well, I'm sure he was fine with it. He has a bloody break down in your arms during the first hangout after all."
Louis nodded, but his stomach twisted in knots. "Yeah, I guess. I just don't want him to see that side of me... even if he's understanding, it's just a lot for me. I want to come off as strong and independent."
"I understand," Liam said, nodding. "But you can still be strong. You just have to trust him. Maybe that's what this is about. Do you not trust him?"
"No, I trust him," Louis replied, his cheeks growing hot. "I trust him. It's just... I don't know. He told me I have to eat dessert today. That's kind of crossing the line."
"Did you tell him why you don't eat dessert?" Liam asked.
Louis shrugged and pushed his fringe out of his eyes. "It's not that easy to talk about Liam."
"I know," Liam replied, tossing the fries into the oven. "You rarely ever talk about it with me and you've known me for years. I just think Harry wants to help but doesn't know how."
"There's nothing to help," Louis said, laughing almost. "I'm so healthy."
Liam raised an eyebrow. "Louis, you and I both know that's not true."
"You're just like Harry," Louis huffed. "I don't really wanna talk about this anymore."
"Suit yourself. We can change the subject anyways because I have news!"
"Spill the tea, honey," Louis said excitedly as he grabbed a bag of carrots from the fridge.
Liam frowned but didn't say anything. "Okay, so the new teacher, Zayn, is absolutely crazy. He has about 35 tattoos, including one on his head. I don't know how he keeps them all covered! On top of that, he's a yoga pro and goes to monasteries in Tibet during the Summers... he's a history teacher of all things. Never would have guessed he was like that."
"You learn something new every day," Louis giggled. "Zayn is pretty cute, by the way. Rawr."
"He's attractive," Liam agreed. "But anyways, he's a ton of fun and I invited him over for drinks on Tuesday. Is that okay?"
