Author's note: hey guys. So I haven't really been writing author's notes but I wanna thank everyone who has been reading this story. I genuinely started to give up on it because I didn't think it was very good, but you guys gave me a lot of support and I appreciate that.

To be honest, I had to go back and reread most of the story because I started to forget everything that had happened before Niall. Honestly, the pre-Niall chapters seem so disconnected from the rest of the story. He really disrupted Larry's relationship and kind of pushed Harry into this role as the caregiver, where he was always putting Niall before himself. It's not a bad thing and it's not Niall's fault at all but I think it's better that he's getting help now and will be out of the story for a bit so we can really focus on Larry.

Looking back in time, Louis was so different at the start of the story - so sassy and energetic and charismatic. We haven't seen that side of Louis in a long time, mostly because he's started to break down his walls and let Harry in to the more painful side of his life. But also because the story has been pretty dismal lately, and there haven't been too many fun date type situations for him to goof around in. Tensions have been high with Liam ever since the whole news scandal (where Liam gave away Harry's name)... so they Louis and Liam don't joke around like they used to, but I hope to get all the characters hanging out and having fun again soon.

In regards to Harry, he has always been distant and shy, but he's opened up over time as well. I think as he and Louis begin to navigate their own problems, we'll start to see a bit more of the growth and character development they deserve. I'm sorry I couldn't give them much development before - there was just so much action, especially with Niall's storyline going on. Now things should start to slow down.

Anyways, thanks again for reading. I love reading your comments. Let's get to the chapter!

"Fuck, Liam, did you turn off my alarm? I'm gonna be late!" Louis shouted, hopping out of bed.

"You're not going in today. You have to rest, remember?" Liam replied, directing him back to bed.

"I rested all night," Louis said, rubbing his eyes.

"You were just in hospital, Louis, Jesus," Liam grumbled. "Just rest today and if you feel better tomorrow, go in. You're not missing anything anyways, it's just mock exams all day. No classes."

Louis gave Liam the side away but slowly got back into bed. If he was being honest with himself, his stomach was killing him and a day off wouldn't be all too bad.

"Fine," Louis muttered. "Have fun at work."

"I'll try," Liam replied. Then he left the room, shutting the door swiftly behind him.

Louis woke up a few hours later at around 11am. His stomach didn't just hurt now - it was throbbing.

"Fuck," he moaned as he rolled out of bed. "Gotta grade some fucking papers."

Tromping lazily to the office, Louis grabbed his phone off his desk. He hadn't even looked at since before the hospital fiasco and he had about a million unread emails. But he was more concerned by the multitude of texts.

9:00 Harry: Hey! How are you feeling? I'm off all day so I plan to stop by

9:02 Harry: I have soup! Figured it would be good for your stomach

10:25 Harry: Sorry to bother you, I hope you're feeling better

10:30 Liam: Hey, Harry is going to stop by to check on you. You better let him in!
