There were things out in the world that could get you killed. You could get hit by a car, fall off a cliff, get eaten by a shark, a lot of ways that could end you as a whole. But that was then. . .or some of them were still now.

But now the biggest thing that can kill us is people. But that didn't stop us from helping those in need. Only the three new people, the unborn baby and the practical ninja girl.

We took them in and I nearly made room for them by killing Jinxx when he complained about the baby being born and how loud it was going to be. One of these days I'm going to snap at him.

We walked for Gods knows how long, just trying to find us a new place to stay. We were all tired from the moving for so long, from going without water, from going without food.

"So, what are you going to name it?" Bella asked Stacy as we walked down the road. Forest lined both sides of the road. We walked together, almost all of us had a weapon of some kind, bullets being scarce now as we hadn't been in a town or a city in a while and most of us were using guns.

Stacy looked to Bella with a soft smile as she set a hand on her stomach. I walked beside the pair, watching the trees for any threat that might come out of the green.

"I don't know, we haven't had the chance to think about that." Stacy says, looking at the little girl that talked to her. Bella had a smile on her face, her being one of the only ones that smiled around her anymore.

"Well, if it's a girl, can we name her Alice?" Bella asked and deep down I wanted to smile, but that wasn't going to happen. I glanced back to the pair for a second before looking to the woods.

"Of course we can." Stacy says to her and the girl practically squealed as she raced to catch up with Laurel.

We walked down the road for a while before I stopped at the sound of branches snapping. I let out a whistle and the group stops where they stand. My one eyed gaze sweeps around the area before it catches on a walker that stumbles out.

We all let out a breath before a gunshot takes down the walker. We all look at each other, not one of us are holding a gun. I hold up my crossbow, my gaze trained on the woods.

"Well now." A voice rings out and we all seem to tense up as we moved the kids and Stacy to the center of our group. "You people seem to be in quite the predicament, aren't you?" The voice asks and a man steps out of the tree line. I grip my bow, ready to fire before more people come out, surrounding us fully.

"What do you want?" Mark asks them, standing next to me and a bit in front of me. I met the eyes of the man that stood in front of us as he smiled.

"I want you all to join us, I want to help you people." He says and I share a look with Mark and then one with Lynne.

"I think we're good." Mark says and the man glares at him like he'd just killed the poor man's dog.

"Oh," He starts as the people move in and I glare at him. "It's not optional." He says before my world suddenly goes black.
