This isn't real. I told myself as I looked at the bodies that laid on the floor, blood surrounding them. There's no way that this was real, until the man himself knelt down in front of me.
Everyone was crying, sobbing, but no one dared to yell out at the fear that they were next. I met the blue eyes of the man in front of me as he smiled.
All I want is this to go away. Those three people are dead because I allowed this monster to live in this world after what he'd done. This is my fault. I kept telling myself that, trying to block out the cries of the people that I love as James lifted his hand.
I didn't make a move, only glared at him as he brushed the side of my face. His eyes were dark as he looked at me, tracing the scar that lead down my left eye.
"You've surely changed Princess." He says, making me gag internally at the old nickname that he'd given me. It was like poison as it came from him. I hated the nickname because of him.
I stayed silent, watching as his eyes traced over every inch of me. I hated the way his eyes felt on me, I hated the blood that he left on my face that covered his hand, my people's blood.
"Oh come on, lighten up princess. Smile a little." He says and I glare at him. His smile falls when I don't have a reaction. He stands up and pulls back his hand, slapping me across the face.
I fell to the side, looking at the floor before I sat back up and glared at the man as he laughed. I could hear Mark struggle a bit.
"Alright." James speaks to us. "We're gonna start with her now." He says, pointing to Bella. I jolted a bit as he made her kneel in front of us as Lynne struggled in the grip of one of his men, "Any last words, kiddo?" He asks and I start to cry.
"L-Lynne? I'm sor-" She was cut off by someone barging into the room and looked at James in a panic.
"James!" He shouts. "The herd's here. We need to move, now." He says and James growls, kicking Bella in the side before walking towards the door with the rest of his men.
"I'll see you soon, princess." He says and on that note, left the room. Wonder if he realized that he left the katana on the floor when he left. But I didn't move an inch to get it or to get out, I was frozen.
I could see a few people jumping into action but I didn't move. I didn't move until I was pulled into a hug. My vision focused and I was met with Mark, who had a look of panic on his face, along with blood from when James punched him and probably beat him in the other room.
This is all my fault.
