Sighing, I looked after Bella, who left the room the way a moody teenager would. I took in a breath before looking around at the rest of the group that was coming with me.

Mark gave a reassuring look and I nodded my head to him. "Let's move out." I say and he nodded his head. I gripped the rifle in my hand, leaving my crossbow here just in case they couldn't use knives because the last thing we wanted was for them to shoot guns.

Running my hand through my hair, I walked out of the base first. My boots thud on the wooden steps as I walk down. I grip the rifle in my hands, scanning the area.

It was the ringing in my ears that came first, the thoughts that this was real. That we were going to end the life of another person before they can hurt anyone else.

Mark walked beside me, stealing a few glances as we walked down the road before stopping as I holding a walkie out to Lynne.

"We'll take the East, you take the West." I say as she takes it. Lynne nods, taking Jinxx, Lisa, and Blake. Madelyn and Mark were going to come with me.

Lynne nods, hooking the walkie to her waistband before leaving the her group. I turn to Mark and Madelyn with a blank look. I motion for them to follow me as I walk.

We move through the woods barely making any noise as we slowly approached the warehouse. Handing my rifle to Mark, I pull out my katana and slice the head of a walker that was stumbling towards us, ready for a meal.

The body fell to the floor with a soft thud. I flicked the blood on my sword onto the floor before wiping it off on my pant leg. I put it in the holder, taking my gun from Mark before leading the rest of the way to the warehouse, where we crouched down, just behind the treeline.

There was people on patrol, guns in their hands. They walked along the perimeter and one or two on the ruff.

I picked up the walkie from my waistband, holding it to my face. "Lynne." I spoke softly, "You guys ready?" I asked, lowering the walkie, my eyes glancing around.

"Yeah," Lynne's voice came through the walkie and we gripped the guns, ready to jump into action.

"Let's go then."
