I looked at my opponent, Layla. I don't know what had brought up the sudden battle, since this wasn't really the time, but I couldn't just refuse a challenge. It is not because I love her, cause I don't. She just wanted to battle, so I accepted.
"Snivy, let's go!" Layla exclaimed, and she seemed really excited and confident. I guess that N person did some good.
"Weavile." I said, wondering if this was even helping my Pokemon. Can Pokemon be unlevelled? Maybe unevolved?
"Snivy, leaf blade!" This had caught me out. I was too busy wondering about my Pokemon to realise that Snivy and Layla were actually working well together.
"Weavile. Get up and use sword dance, and follow it with metal claw." I yelled out, and Layla smirked.
"Not on your game, are you Paul. Snivy, dodge it with leaf storm and use attract." Perfect. From a matter of seconds, Snivy has seemed to improve.
"Ice beam." I called out. Finally, a move that had hit. But... Something was wrong... Of course. Attract.
"Snivy, finish Weavile off with leaf blade." Layla called, and Weavile fainted. We both redrew our Pokemon.
"Next, Aggron." I said, wondering how she managed to beat me. She was still a new trainer.
"Pidgey! Let us go!" Layla yelled excitedly, and her Pidgey dashed up into the air.
"Aggron, use metal claw." I told him, and herd Layla giggle. She was really cute when she giggles. Wait, now is not the time.
"Pidgey! Use sandstorm, and then tackle!" She exclaimed, her moves hit, while mine miss. Aggron just couldn't see in the sand, and Pidgey kept flying outside the sand pile.
"Pidge!" Pidgey exclaimed happily, and used Ariel race, and knocked out my Aggron. I sighed and returned him, before throwing out Gliscour.
"Great job Pidgey! Go Zoura!" Layla exclaimed, doing a spin and releasing her new Pokemon. I didn't recognise it, and neither did my Pokedex. That N guy must of gave it to her. I felt myself getting annoyed, but I didn't know why.
"Get ready Gliscour." I told my last Pokemon, snapping back into action. I was not going to lose my last battle, against a brand new Pokemon.
"Ah... Zoura. Use any moves, and let's find out!" Zoura used shadow ball, but Gliscour dodged it.
"Gliscour, use x-scissor." This was going so well. Although this Zoura seemed strange, Layla didn't know its moves. Suddenly Zoura also turned into a Gliscour, and I was caught off guard. What? And then it used shadow ball, and due to my confusion, it hit Gliscour.
"Great job Zoura! Now, let's try tackle!" Layla yelled happily, and I grimaced. But this might be my chance...
"Gliscour! Use x-scissor!" I yelled, and it hit Zoura. I smirked, and then looked at Layla who was getting really excited. Did she think she was going to win?
"Zoura, use x-scissor." Nothing. Zoura stared back at her trainer, and then she sighed. But then Zoura used something else. I didn't know what that move was either, until N's voice sounded from the trees.
"Nightwave."
"Wow!" Layla yelled excitedly skipping as Gliscour faints. I sighed and returned him, rolling my eyes and leaving the area.
