Seeing her like this, made his heart break. She deserves so much better in this world. He breathes in deeply, her soft scent bringing his heart to a slower pace. For some reason, he feels a weight lift from his chest as he runs his fingers through he hair. He's trying to soothe her, but he's the one feeling better.
Ace wraps his arms around her tighter, pulling her closer to him, "It's okay... I'm here for you. I'm here..."
His eyes wonder around the area, making sure that she's alone and that no one is coming. Her sobs gradually fading away until they are just sniffles, "Let's go sit down."
She nods before he lets go of her, but he doesn't even get to turn around before her hand grabs onto his, "Don't let go of me..."
He smiles at her, wrapping his hand around hers, "I'd never dream of it. Not anymore."
