Am I A Hippie or Goth?

I popped open my locker at the end of the day, tossing all my books in and grabbing my leather jacket and the novel I was currently reading so I wouldn't have to pay attention in some of my more boring classes.  I was just about to slam the door when I noticed something in the bottom of my locker.

It was a daisy, with a straight green stem and all the white petals arranged perfectly around the round yellow middle.  Why it was in my locker I didn't know, because whoever put it there must've been pretty stupid to think I'd like flowers.  I was not that kind of girl at all, and I was about to throw it in the trash when Two-Bit, Johnny, and Pony met up with me in the hallway.

"Stopping to smell the roses, Tara?" Two-Bit asked with a grin as he noticed the daisy in my hand.

"It's not a rose, it's a daisy.  And I'm not a hippie, so no.  I found it in the bottom of my locker," I said.

"Oooh, someone's got a secret admirer," Two-Bit jeered with a smirk.  Johnny tried to hide his smile, and I don't know what Pony was doing, his back was turned.

"I highly doubt that, Two-Bit.  It was probably meant for the Soc who has a locker right next to mine.  You know, a girl who would actually like flowers and think it a cute, affectionate gesture rather than stupid to kill innocent vegetation," I retorted, laying on the sarcasm in the last sentence.

"What are you, Goth?  You don't like flowers," Pony said, trying to be sarcastic but his voice sounded almost wounded and disbelieving.

"Come on, all girls like flowers," Johnny said, like he didn't believe how I couldn't like girly stuff like that.

"Not this girl," I replied, flipping open my book and placing the stem between the pages, leaving the bud sticking out. "But it does make a good bookmark," I added, closing my book so a flower stuck out the top.

I didn't think much of it, but then I caught  a small smile on Pony's face as his gaze landed on the flower as I tucked the book under my arm, and it made me wonder.  What if the daisy in my locker was deliberately put there?  And then I had to wonder by who?
