Johnny's POV

"J-Johnny" she's sobbing. My heart immediately dropped

"Melissa? What's happening?" I almost scream through the phone. I can't lose Mackenzie, I just can't.

"They saved her, Johnny. Mackenzie is up"  My heart jumped at those three words. I plugged one of my ears to help hear Melissa better. I was sobbing.

"I'm coming, right now" I say as I sprint up the stairs. People may have been looking at me, I'm not sure. I was too focused on Kenzie to give a fuck about what other people think.

"Johnny, I think it's best if you stay at your house"

"But why?" I ask out of breath from sprinting up the stairs.

"It's midnight, it's really late Johnny"

"Melissa, I have to see her." I beg.

"Johnny, you could get in trouble for curfew, the curfew is midnight"

"I won't get caught, Melissa, please. I need to see her, I'm sorry." I'm not sure why I'm apologizing, but I am. Maybe I'm apologizing because I feel selfish.

"Okay Johnny,"

"O-Okay, I'll see you soon"

"Yep, bye bye"

After that, I hung up. I frantically put on my shoes and go to the door. Before I could even leave, I hear a voice stop me.

"Why so fast?" someone chuckled, I turn around to see Paige.

"I um, I have to go" I state, I'm not telling her anything.

"Well why so soon, Johnny?" she asks, getting closer to me. She's desperate for something, something that she will never get from me.

"I-I'm seeing the girl" I nod, grabbing my keys. I try to get in the garage as soon as possible, I want to see Mackenzie.

"Johnny" she laughs "The girl probably only wants you for a one night stand if she's calling you this time of night"

She has it all wrong, she doesn't even know. I'm not telling her either.

"No, not this girl"

"Well how can you be so sure?" she asks, taking another step forward.

"I know." I speak confidently. "I really do know her, we-we haven't even had sex" I say shaking my head.

"Oh, that's too bad" she sighs, pretending to be sad for me

"Not really" I shrug before walking off

"Wait, why are you so sad?" she asks but suddenly gasps in realization. "Is she telling you that she doesn't like you?"

"No."

I walk off, she screams another "Wait!" but I ignore it, all I have on my mind is Mackenzie.

Kenzie, I'm coming. Just you wait.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I arrive at the hospital, they surprisingly let me in. I was a bit concerned about that. I run to Kenzie's room.
I see Melissa and Maddie talking to Kenzie. Kenzie seems really tired, I don't blame her much. She got out of a coma that lasted a week. That's a fucking long time. I watch them talk, you may be wondering why I didn't go in and squeeze Kenzie to death because of how happy I am to see her.
 The truth is, I'm scared. I don't know what to say, I don't know what to do. How do I act around her?
before I do anything, Kenzie locks eyes with me through the window. We stare at each other, I don't even know for how long. I get lost in her eyes, so many times.
