"moving out? why?" jimin asked with wide eyes, a piece of chicken hanging out of his mouth.

"being a couple in a house with 5 other people isn't exactly ideal. i mean, you guys have an idea about what that's like." jungkook said, bringing his chopsticks with chow mein noodles up to his mouth.

"i mean, yeah i guess it's not the best. just promise you'll keep in contact and not move far away?" taehyung asked.

"we were planning on moving to the next neighborhood over. there's a place for sale and it's really nice." yoongi said.

"plus we would never lose contact with you guys. you're like our brothers. we could never do that to you," jungkook added, shoving orange chicken in his mouth.

"not to mention we're still in a band together. I mean, there's no possible way we could lose contact even if we wanted to." yoongi added, setting his chopsticks on a napkin.

namjoon entered the living room where they were eating and furrowed his eyebrows at yoongi and jungkook.

"lose contact? over what?" he asked, perking an eyebrow up at the 4 boys in confusion. the couple looked at each other.

"yoongi and I are planning on getting our own place a street over. we figured being a couple in a house with 5 other guys isn't the most ideal way to date and, I dunno, the point is we just kinda want privacy, y'know?" jungkook said. namjoon nodded.

"I think it's definitely a huge step in your relationship to live by yourselves together. are you sure you're ready for that commitment?" namjoon asked.

"yeah, we've been talking about it for awhile now. we're ready." yoongi replied, wiping his hand on his pant leg.

"seokjin isn't going to take this well, you know." namjoon added.

"yeah, he's part of the reason we wanted to move. not that we dislike him, because we love him, but he's been the root of most of the drama in our relationship, to be honest." jungkook said, taking another bite of his orange chicken.

"it's true. I've never heard them fight over something that wasn't jin-related" taehyung spoke up, setting his bowl down.

"we love your boyfriend, seriously we do, but it's not the best to live with him when you're dating someone." jimin added, playing with his chopsticks wrapper.

-- time skip to moving day --

"I'm sad to see you guys leave," hoseok said, giving yoongi a hug and a friendly kiss on the head, doing the same to jungkook right afterwards.

"yeah, but at least we're literally right down the street. we could walk here if we wanted," jungkook said with a laugh as he carried a box to the uhaul.

"I know, but it'll be weird not having you guys here all the time. the routine won't be the same," taehyung said, patting jungkook's shoulder.

"we'll probably be visiting very often, it shouldn't be too different." yoongi replied, lamp in hand.

yoongi and jungkook were at the BTS house almost everyday. it was like nothing had changed, except for the fact they didn't sleep there as often.

-

5 years had passed, and yoongi and jungkook were doing wedding preparations.

"big venue?" yoongi asked, scrolling through their options.

"I mean, if you want to. go big or go home right? we've only got one time to do this," jungkook said.

"I kind of prefer just a small get together though?" yoongi said, not trying to start an argument.

they ended up having a big wedding, because yoongi is too weak and can't refuse anything jungkook asks.

"I'm going to cry during their vows, I hope you know that," hoseok warned the guy next to him on the groomsmen's side, presumably one of the couple's family members.

"me too," the guy responded, who hoseok later learned was jungkook's stepbrother.

"jungkook. you have been my rock for the past 7 years. even though we were living with 5 idiots for 2 of them, I wouldn't have it any other way. you taught me how to love myself and see things optimistically instead of pessimistically and I am eternally grateful. you always know the right things to say, and even though I'm not the most romantic guy in the world, hell, our first date was in a McDonald's parking lot, you still stuck around and made my life the best it could ever be. thank you for being you and loving me through all of our hardships and arguments. I love you and I always will." yoongi said, wiping away jungkook's tears with his thumb. hoseok sniffled.

"oh, wow, I don't know how I can top that." jungkook said, chuckling and wiping away his tears.

"you, yoongi, were my first boyfriend and my first husband. obviously. I'm proud to say that you were my first everything because I wouldn't have my firsts with anyone but you. I love you because we balance each other out. we're almost complete opposites yet we share everything in common at the same time. you taught me that love is the most important thing you can feel for someone. I love you because you never left me even after our ugliest arguments and you never gave up on me. thank you for everything you've done for me and this relationship." jungkook ended with even more tears. (don't tell yoongi I told you this, but he cried even harder than jungkook.)

2 years later, they adopted a baby girl named Jisoo.

"it's your turn to change her! I did it last," jungkook shouted from the kitchen as he was filling her bottle with formula. he heard yoongi groan, but his distressed voice soon turned into his baby voice as he encourage Jisoo to crawl over to him.

jungkook walked over to where yoongi had her laying on the couch and rubbed yoongi's back.

"you're such a good dad," jungkook said and pressed a kiss on yoongi's mouth.

"so are you. are you just saying that because I'm changing her and you aren't?" yoongi asked with a smile on his face and smacked an overdramatic wet kiss on jungkook's cheek after the younger's face turned into a scowl.

"I love you"

"I love you more, yoongi-hyung"

sorry this took so long, I had writers block and I would work on it for a little and come back to it like a week later each time I got a paragraph done.

but this is the longest chapter (I think) of the whole story so uhhh appreciate it (I'm kidding ily)

sorry to end so abruptly, I didn't have any more ideas for the story so I decided to end it here
