3 days lang nagstay si Gregory sa Surigao, umuwi ito ng Makati at hindi na dumalo sa libing ng daddy ni Clarisse. Samantalang si Clarisse ay nagdesisyon muna na magstay doon for 2 weeks with her family. Kahit nalulungkot, ipinakita ng mommy niya that she is strong and she will be fine, malaking factor nito ang madaling pagsolve ng kaso, at kahit ongoing pa rin ang hearing masaya ito dahil nasa kulungan na ang mga salarin. Utos ng natalong congressman ang ginawang pagpatay sa kanyang ama at ng mga kasamahan nito. Dahil sa connections nila kaya na-solve agad ang kaso, no stones were left unturned kaya within a few days lang after her dad's death may mga nahuli na kaagad.

Si Marc naman ay pilit na nagpakatatag knowing that he is expected to kasi siya ang lalaki ng pamilya ngayon. "I will be fine anak, huwag kang mag-alala sa akin, I have to be strong, your dad won't be happy if he will see me na nagluluksa, let's live life as if your dad is still around ok? walang dapat magbago sa buhay natin, yes there is that missing gap that only your dad can fill in but you know what? we are still here, the three of us should remain strong for your dad... and also to prove to our enemies that they can't break us... that your dad's death won't shake this family... kaya don't give up your life dahil in time naman makikita natin ang daddy nyo, but only God knows when." sabi ng kanyang mommy sa kanya before she left Surigao, she did not expect that from her, she thought her mom would end up in a mental ward dahil always itong nagme-mental block at hinimatay pa during sa libing ng kanyang daddy. She was gonna spend Christmas sa kanila but her mom decided that they will skip Christmas this year and she just let them do their own thing. Pupunta ang mommy niya to Hawaii with her lola and lolo for 21 days. Si Marc at ang girlfriend nito ay binigyan ng mommy niya ng ticket to Thailand for a 10 days holiday as Christmas gift. Si Clarisse ay bibigyan din sana ng ticket for a holiday somewhere na gusto nito pero sinabi niya sa ina that she will wait until next kasi she can't decide kung ano talaga ang gusto niya. Her mom gave her money instead, tatanggihan sana niya but her mom insisted.

Although wala na ang daddy niya, medyo normal naman uli ang takbo ng buhay nila, her mom is a lot tougher than before and she is really happy that finally after so many years of convincing her to have a vacation, nagbakasyon na rin ito. Clarisse is aware that her mom is struggling without their dad but she gave her credit for being strong. Siguro kung hindi ito nagbigay sa kanila ng assurance that things will be ok, Marc and her will truly get so worried. May usap-usapan kasi na if hindi kaya ng mom niya ang pagkamatay ni David ay si Clarisse na muna ang mamamahala sa mga businesses nila and she really is not happy with that thought. Ayaw niyang magpatakbo ng business nila, she knows she is too young for that. Si Marc naman ay walang balak magnegosyo he wanted to be a professional soccer player and he wanted to be a pilot as well. Wala sa kanilang dalawang magkakapatid ang may balak na magpatakbo ng tatlong beach resort at iilan pa nilang business. The last option will be allowing their uncle Erik, kapatid ng father nila to run their business if hindi kakayanin ni Martina ang pagkawala ni David. Martina doesn't like Erik to take over the business or even run it for a month so she didn't let the death of her husband affect her mentally or physically. Alam niyang tuso si Erik and there will be a tendency na mawawala sa kanila ang lahat if may ibang tao na magiging CEO ng De Valle Resorts Incorporated. Kahit masakit man she has to remain strong and protect her children at alam niyang mas higit siyang kailangan ng mga ito ngayong wala na ang pinakamamahal niyang si David.
