Breakfast surprise

I know I've been seriously slacking on posting lately, but I haven't had the motivation. But here you go! I'll try better this weekend !! ENJOY MY LOVELIES 

*Mei*

Mei woke up early the next morning, she couldn't seem to sleep well, plagued by nightmares she was in and out of consciousness all night. She felt a permanent sense of impending doom and like someone was watching her, leaving her uneasy. She laid there awake until she heard a knock at her door, "come in," she said feeling hopeful. The door opened and relief washed over her, the one person she needed and wanted right now, "Hey there beautiful, how'd you sleep? Sorry I took so long, they made me wait an hour until visiting hours but good news! You are coming home with me today. I already spoke to the doctor and settled everything." Yuzu smiled at her lovingly. "Yuzu," Mei sighed, feeling her body relax after hours of being on edge.

"I missed you Yuzu.." Mei spoke sadly, earning her a hug and an, " I missed you too my world... what did you dream about ?" Mei went silent. "Mei? What's wrong?" Compiling her words Mei told her about the nightmares she had all night, "so I didn't sleep well at all, I just want to go home." Yuzu kissed her forehead, "well my sweet the doctor should be i shortly to release you and we will go home, and Mei? Don't ever think I'd let anything happen to you, you're so important to me I would rather die then have you hurt," seconds after she finished speaking the doctor walked in, "hello miss Aihara, you did very well last night and I am pleased to tell you that you're going home now, I think your partner here will be more relaxed if your with her, and to be honest so will my nurses, I don't know how much more they could take of her badgering then about you." He gave Yuzu a smirk, " so how about we sign the release papers and get you home?" Mei nodded, " please let's do that, I just want a home cooked meal and sleep."

Yuzu grabbed her hand, " I'll cook you dinner babe, but I have other plans for breakfast." With a wink she left Mei to fill out the paperwork and within 30 minutes they were on their way to breakfast. "Okay so what are we doing? What plans do you have Yuzu? This is just breakfast right?" Smirking she replied, "Oh you'll see my dearest." And they walked into the restaurant. "Thank you for choosing Oasis garden how can I help you today?" The flamboyant hostess greeted them with a huge smile, "Yes I have a reservation for Yuzu Aihara, I believe it should tell you in the note there?" She looked down and read the note, "ahh yes.. this one.... please right this way," and she walked off leading them towards their table, Yuzu grabbed Meis hand and led them towards the table after the waitress. Mei was so transfixed on Yuzus hand in hers that she didn't realize they had gotten to their table until she heard a loud group yell "MEIIII!!" Looking up she saw all of their friends and family, and it brought tears to her eyes. Everyone she knew was there, Matsuri, Himeko, Harumi, Ume, her dad Shō, everyone. " hey guys." Mei said with a hint of a blush on her face.

Everyone smiled at her as Yuzu pulled out her chair to let her sit. "Yuzu I can pull out my own chair you know." Yuzu smirked, "well I know that, I'm just being chivalrous, you deserve the world Mei and I'd like to be the one to give it to you." Himeko spoke up first, "MEI-MEI!!! How do you feel? Are you okay?" Mei turned to her best friend and smiled slightly, "Yes I'm okay, I feel fine, do not worry Himeko." Himeko have her a big smile, "Well good! We all missed you a lot." Everyone at the table agreed, Mei felt her face flush at the sudden news, surprised that she had so many people who cared about her. Finally unable to stand everyone staring at her Mei announced, "I'm kinda starving, can we get breakfast now?" Yuzu grabbed her hand, "that's a good idea, I am so hungry I could eat a cow!" And with that, they all ordered breakfast. Their food arrived and everyone dug in, sharing short but interesting conversations amongst the group.

Time seemed to fly by as Mei looked at the time and realized they had been there nearly two hours. "Wow, how time flies, I'm feeling sleepy now though, Yuzu can we head home? I'd like to nap for a while." Yuzu looked at Mei and smiled, "Anything you'd like my love," and turned to the group, "It's been great everyone but I'm afraid I have to get Mei home to rest a while. Thank you all for coming," Everyone got up to say goodbye and one last welcome back to Mei, giving her a hug before wandering off to pay their bills.Normally Mei wouldn't be okay with so much physical contact but today she felt steady, and it was calming to her knowing how much they all cared. Finally only the girls, Ume and Shō were left, "I'll be back love, I'm going to pay our bill okay?" Mei nodded at Yuzu who turned to go and pay for her families meal, only to be stopped by Shō, "sit down Yuzu, your mother and I have this, just spend some time together, you need it more than Mei does with how much you were worrying and pacing your room last night." Shō said making Yuzu blush.

"I'm sorry I didn't realize you could hear me.. I hope I didn't keep you awake." Yuzu apologized, "nonsense sweetheart, we couldn't sleep either without knowing how Mei was doing." Ume chimed in smiling at the two girls. Ume and Shō left the table to pay and within five minutes the four of them left the restaurant and headed for home. "Oh Yuzu, your father and I have to go pick up some ingredients for your dinner tonight, so can you make sure Mei gets a nice warm bath and goes for a nap? We are gunna be a while as we have some other things to do as well." Ume spoke, giving a small smile to Yuzu and Mei. "Of course mama! Leave it to me!" Flashing her signature wink she added, "come on Mei, you heard mama, home and to the bath with you!" And grabbed Meis hand once more, leading her the rest of the way home.

They entered the apartment and Yuzu turned after takin her shoes off to assist Mei with hers, "Yuzu you don't have to-" Yuzu stopped her with a gentle stroke of her thighs. "Mei I know you can do it yourself, please just let me do this, I can't do much but this I can do for you so please.." Yuzu said pleading to Mei. "Okay well... thank you, Yuzu." Smiling down at her Mei kissed Yuzus forehead giving in to her request silently. Yuzu had her shoes off and was leading Mei towards the bathroom telling her, "I'll start your bath, you get showered then you can soak okay? I'll be in the room if you need anything." Mei nodded, watching Yuzu start to leave the room Mei quickly ran up and grabbed her arm. "Say Yuzu.. could you stay in here with me? I'll need help bandaging my arm again after."

Yuzu smiled and nodded, "As you wish."
