Shout out to the ones who have been here from the beginning, you guys rock!

*Yuzu*

"Walking home alone is boring." Yuzu thought to herself just after leaving the school grounds. The silence was making her uncomfortable so she quickly retrieved her headphones and plugged them into her phone, searching for a calming song, she pressed play. She was getting into the music and calming down when a text interrupted her song.

Pulling out her phone she checked it, seeing it was her mom, she opened it. "Hey Yuzu! Are you coming home soon? I'm making dinner, and I have a surprise for you!!! Xoxo."

Yuzu typed a quick reply, " On my way mama, see you in 20,"

One more text popped up, "I love you darling, see you soon!" Putting her phone away after starting her song again, she continued walking.

The walk seemed shorter to Yuzu, because before she knew it, she was walking in her front door and saying "Mama? Im back from school."

As she was taking off her shoes her mother said hello, her voice sounded like she was excited. Choosing to ignore it she finished taking off her remaining shoe until she heard a voice from behind her that wasn't her mother's, it said, "Awwe, What no hello for daddy?"

Standing up and spinning around she saw the tall figure of her step-father, she dropped her bag and ran into his arms, "PAPA! When did you come home?" Tears started flowing from her eyes.

"I've missed you, how long are you staying for?"

Her father dismissed the question, waving it off, "There will be time for questions later. For now go was and dinner will be done when you come out." Yuzu went to shower and true to his word dinner was ready when she got out.

They started off making light conversation during dinner and everything seemed to go without any problems. Yuzu thought she had perfected her fake happy self, she had even added in that she put in her application for the basketball club, and should start tomorrow if it's accepted. Everything was good, Until dinner was done that is, as soon as the dishes were done Shō looked at her and said, "Yuzu come sit and talk with us, we have something to discuss with you."

*Ume & Sho*

Yuzu was lead to the couch by her dad being placed in the middle, her parents sat on either side of her.

Her mother spoke first, "Yuzu honey, are you doing alright? Lately you've seemed.. off since Mei left." Her heart sank to her stomach, "No I'm good mom, just stretched a little thin is all with studies and stuff." Shō looked at Ume and nodded, "sweetheart, we need to tell you something," spoke her mom, " But before we do, we need you to understand we love you okay? " Yuzu just nodded, "okay well" Ume continued, "The other night when your friends stayed over I heard something I shouldn't have, but I didn't listen in on you on purpose."

Yuzu froze, mouth going dry, and tears threatening her eyes, she stayed silent waiting for her mom to continue. "Okay well I may have overheard something that you and your sister did, and by that I mean.. Yuzu, we know you were lovers dear." Tears started flowing uncontrollably, "MAMA, PAPA," she screamed, "IM SO S-SORRY! WWE DIDNT MEAN TO.. ITS JUST THAT.." she stopped screaming, sobbing silently while her parents sat beside her, "We never meant to do that to you.. and she's gone now anyway. Plus she's engaged, and she's going through with it, so you don't have to worry.. we're- it's.. it's over."

The sadness in their daughters voice almost made both of them start crying, but Shō spoke up, voice slightly shaking, "Yuzu, we weren't done. Just listen for a while okay bubs?" She sniffled, "Okay papa."

Shō began to speak, " Yuzu we aren't mad or even upset about it, and we think you need to take some time to think about this, think about what we say," pausing to take a breath, calming down from the almost tears he had, "we understand how you feel. And it's okay, we love you no matter what, which is why your mother and I.. well.. after speaking it over, we divorced, but nothing will change. You can still call me papa, fact I'd be a little sad if you didn't. But we did this so you can have a chance to achieve your happiness. We plan on helping you, through this whole thing." The adults shared a knowing smirk. Yuzu missed their double meaning and just said, " well.. I don't think it's possible.. she's getting married.. I love her and would be overjoyed if she came back but I don't.." she trailed off.

Ume chimed in, "baby why don't you go sleep? We can talk more another time, this is a lot all at once," Ume looks at Shō, and smiles once more, she was filled in about Yuzus friends plan and even Shō's part earlier, she couldn't help but add one detail to it to help her daughters be happy. Shō had agreed and called her friends and informed them of Ume's idea, they all loved it.

"Goodnight sweetie, sleep well."

"Yes goodnight darling" Shō added,

"G'night mama, I'm sorry for all this trouble.."

Yuzu turned to sho, "night.." silence fell between them for a split second as she paused before she added, "papa." She hugged them both and headed for bed, she felt so tired she passed out as soon as her head hit pillow.

Ume and Shō looked in on her quickly before heading to their room.

"Well that's good, we got one part done. Once we find out if she was accepted to the club we could start the plan-"

Ume cut Shō off, " Tomorrow. I have a feeling Mei won't say no to her joining the club.. so we can start it tomorrow.."

Shō was smiling at his now ex wife, "I just hope this works. I want them to be happy again.." he paused for a moment. " I need to see my father again tomorrow, I want to be with him to make sure he cancels the engagement and when he tells her."

Ume looked at him, "I'm sure it will be all to plan, after all, thinking back now.. they not only looked good together, but they made each other grow as people, grow to be better." One single year escaped her eye, "and that makes me happier then anything else could."

"I couldn't agree more," Shō and Ume went to bed, they had a lot to do the next day.
