Reunion

OKAY SO the reason I keep doing parts is because I have trouble ending a chapter before it's too long so.. let's go part 1! 

*Yuzu*

Sweat was dripping down her face, "Hustle Yuzu we are almost done!" Matsuri called out to her friend. Stopping to catch her breath for a second she sighed, "I'm going! I haven't ran in forever you know that. I need to get back into it." She started running the drills again. Everyone else had gone home an hour before, but Matsuri suggested they stay for a while to catch up on some training. Matsuri phone rang, "hold on Yuzu!" She wasn't on for long before hanging up and calling "I gotta head home now, you wanna walk part way with me?"

" yea sure, I'm tired anyway." Yuzu punctuated her statement with a loud yawn. Matsuri laughed at her, "Okay come on Yuzu let's go."

The two walked together for a while, silence between them. Only speaking when Matsuri has to leave, she hugged yuzu, "Hang on Yuzu, she will come back to you." And skipped away leaving her pondering why she said that. Shrugging it off she continued her walk home, it had gotten dark and Yuzu looked at the time, 6:00, "dinner should be ready soon" she thought.

When she arrived home she took off her shoes not noticing the extra pair that were at the door. "I'm home!" She called. "Welcome home bub, I left clean clothes in the bathroom for you so you can shower right away. Dinner will be done soon!"

"Okay!" She yelled back, proceeding to the bathroom she showered. It wasn't until she was getting dried off she smelled a familiar sent, causing her to run out of the bathroom and straight to Shō, "papa!" She cried, tears starting to well up in her eyes. Shō understood what she was wanting to know and just smiled at her. "She's in the bedroom taking a nap darling, go wake her. There's still a bit of time before dinner, we will call you when dinner is done. I think there is some stuff you need to discuss." She nodded and wiped at a stray tear that had fallen.

*mei*

She woke up startled, looking around the room she saw the one face me longed for, but this time it looked different. There were tear stains on her cheeks and her eyes were different too. Didn't have any love in them, they were really dead looking eyes. "Yu..zu?" The raven haired girl looked at the rest of her lover, "you did this," Yuzu said, pointing to her chest, "You broke my heart and now you try to come back? Get out! Get out of my life! You've only ruined it. OUT!"

The blond turned towards the door, and walked out. "Do... don't leave.. don't leave me?" Tears started fallin from her eyes.

*Yuzu*

She opened the door slowly, scared that she might not be awake and just having a dream and the girl who was laying on her bed would disappear. She was sleeping soundly, and mumbling to herself as Yuzu got near. "Yu..zu.." Not sure she heard her correctly she waited silently. "Do.. don't leave... don't leave me.."

"What's she dreaming about" wondered the blond. She saw tears start flowing from her eyes and figured it would be best to wake her from her nightmare. "Mei... Mei wake up! You're having a bad dream." Mei's eyes flew open, sitting up she looked around the room as her eyes adjusted.

Finally coming to rest on the blond, who was still leaning over her and touching her arm. "Yuzu" said Mei and pulled her into a hug landing the blond straddling her legs. Breathing in her smell she felt comfort washing over her. Mei was starting to let go of Yuzu when she didn't feel herself being hugged back, until Yuzu threw her arms around her and crushed Mei against her body.

"Yuzu I'm so-" Mei started to say before Yuzu cut her off, "what the hell is wrong with you?!" She started crying, "why did you just leave like that? And that letter? What was that? God Mei I could hit you! How could you leave me like that?" Yuzu scolded Mei, still crushing her against herself.

"I'm sorry Yuzu.. I know I hurt you.. but some stuff happened and I can see you more now, I can explain later, but for now.. can we stay like this for a while?" Mei asked, her cheeks going pink. Yuzu looked down to notice how they were sitting, and blushed herself. "Uhh.. sure Mei." They stayed like that until Himeko, Matsuri, and Harumi opened the door.

Silence fell upon the group. Yuzu and Mei jumped apart and blushed furiously.

"I KNEW IT!" Harumi said.

"I believe that's what you call a home run. The plan worked flawlessly." Himeko stated.

"I told you yuzuchan!" Matsuri added.

"Wait, you guys planned this?!? How did you know it would work?" Asked Yuzu. Mei stayed silent just staring at Yuzu, adoringly spaced out.

"Well," Said Shō, "they had a little help.. your mother and I well.. we had a little hand in its execution."

"And, how could it not? I mean look at how Mei is staring at you yuzuchi!" Pointed Harumi, pulling Mei back from being spaced out.

"Sorry Yuzu.. I didn't mean to stare." Mei said sheepishly and blushed even harder. "It's okay, why don't we just go eat?"

"That's right girls, you're just in time for dinner!" Shō added. Dinner went well and after everything was cleaned up, the three excused themselves saying they needed to go home. "Bye guys we will see you tomorrow at school."

Shutting the door behind them, Mei looked at Yuzu. "I guess we need to talk now?"

"Yeah... lets go to the room."

Closing the door behind her, Yuzu walked to the bed and got into it, "might as well be comfy" she said patting the spot beside her.

"Well Yuzu.. what do you want to know?"

"Everything. Everything from when you left to now."

So she did, started from writing the note, to leaving the house, to living with her grandfather and the dinner she had to endure, the phone call with Himeko, yuuto that morning and the conversation with her grandfather, to the talk with Ume and Shō and napping to wake up to her face.

Yuzu yawned really loud, "why don't we go to bed? You can tell me everything tomorrow.. you're obviously really tired." Stated Mei.

Yuzu agreed and laid down, "Hey Yuzu?"

"Yes Mei?" Mumbled Yuzu.

"Can we cuddle? I know it won't mean anything right now but.. I'd sleep better in you held me."

"Mmhmmmph," grumbled Yuzu already half asked.

" thank you." Mei crawled under the blankets and within seconds Yuzu rolled over and cuddled her. Sighing contently Mei smiled, she felt like she was where she belonged. She quickly fell asleep. For the first time in what seemed like forever.. Mei slept without bad dreams.

The following morning Yuzu woke up, feeling groggy she felt something in her arms. Wiping the sleep from her eyes she looked at what she was holding and found herself shocked, it was Mei fast asleep in her arms! She tried to get up but the raven haired girl rolled over still fast asleep and snuggled into her chest, Yuzu blushed. She let her stay like that for a few moments, soaking in her sent. Finally she decided she needed to wake her up.

"Mei," she shook her, "Mei wake up. It's almost time to get ready for school." Mei started to wake up, opening her eyes she realized she was right in yuzus chest. She scrambled to get away, apologizing frantically. "I'm sorry Yuzu! I didn't mean to invade your space like that!"

Yuzu lugged, "it's okay Mei, I was pretty comfortable like that anyway."

Mei looked embarrassed, "Hey Yuzu.. can you tell me everything that happened since I left now?"

Nodding slightly Yuzu replied, "yeah, if that's what you want."

She started with how she found the note and read it over and over, told her how she felt, how their mom wanted her to join a club, even the conversation between their parents and her. "So I just need time to adjust again but I really did miss you."
