His POV:

As I was dragged out of her room, I only thought about one thing.

I'm never going to see her again... she had so much ahead of her...

The workers threw me out of the hospital due to my outrageous behavior. Once I landed outside, my face hit the cold pavement. Opening my eyes again, I was in my bedroom.

No way... it was... a dream?

Looking around and pinching myself, I can assure that it was indeed a dream. I put my glasses on and sat on the edge of my bed. Upon wiping my forehead, gallons of sweat flooded my hands.

That's gross.

As I was getting up, I hear a knock at my door. I looked at the clock, it read 2:31 am.

Who could it be at this time?

I got up and walked to the door, opening it, it was (Y/n). Alive. She sheepishly smiled at me and scratched the back of her head.

"I'm sorry, Al. For bothering you so late at night. I stayed at work for longer than I thought. I-." She rambled on until I cut her sentence short.

I couldn't hold back anymore and pulled her into a bone crushing hug.

"Can't breathe..." She called out, her voice cracking.

I let go and dusted her off.

"Sorry, dudette..." I apologized, my head hanging low.

She lifted my head back up with her finger under my chin. "You're okay, but what was that all about? You're not looking too good right now. And a little sweaty."

I sighed. "I'll explain. Come inside." I stepped aside.

"Oh, Alfie... it's alright... I'm healthy! Got a checkup a few days ago." She cooed softly as she stroked my hair as my head rested on her lap. I sat up straight and looked her in the eyes. Into those deep, beautiful eyes.

"That's great... and I will always be your hero, (Y/n). I will try to save you from anything that may harm you. I swear on the name of everything that's holy in this world. Like burgers and hot dogs."

She giggled on the last part. "Thank you, Alfred. You're so sweet. Like a milkshake." I looked up at her and grinned.
