You've never told anyone this, not even your dear boyfriend, Matthew. But you were scared of many things. If it's not something silly, it's something serious. You've never been open about that with him because you think he would make fun or you would feel embarrassed, but you knew he'd never make fun of you, of course. But you sometimes want to talk to him about it... to try to get over at least one fear.

Should I?

You were over at Matthew's house, making some delicious pancakes that were soon to be covered in maple syrup. As you two were working, Matthew accidentally cut himself. You see that blood starts flowing out. You stood there, not knowing what to do.

"Pretty clumsy of me, eh?" Matthew said, grabbing a nearby napkin and trying to cover it up. "Hm? What's wrong, maple?"

"I... um..." You stuttered out. He gave you a confused look. He looked down on his finger and realized what was wrong.

"Maple, are you... scared of blood?"

"M-maybe... I... I know it's silly of me. I just get a little anxious..."

"It's not silly at all. Many people have fears. On just about anything. I have my fair share of some too. I didn't know that about you though. If you want, we can help each other overcome our fears."

"Really?"

"Yes, I'd love to see what we can do together."

"That makes me feel so much better, Mattie. Thank you."
