Your POV:

You were hanging out with Alfred at his house. As you two were eating together, he was stuffing his face with an all you can eat buffet and you were there with your small plate of salad, playing with it and looking down. You didn't want to act this way, but you couldn't help it. This sort of behavior was not the cheerful American's way of life. That's not how it works around here. Especially not in his house. After he was almost finished, he couldn't help but look at you in a concerning way. After he stuffs a burger in his mouth and asks you,

"What's wrong, dudette? You've been playing with your salad this entire time. And the fact you're only eating salad."

"You noticed, huh?"

"I tried to think nothing of it at first, but now I'm worried."

"I've been keeping watch on my... um..."

"Weight?" He completed your sentence. You nodded. He set aside everything and took hold of your hand. "Don't worry about that. You know why?"

"Why?" You asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Because I think you look perfect. Inside and outside. Weight doesn't define you as a person. And if you want to lose some, then that's okay too. But don't beat yourself over and try it in a positive and healthy matter. Everyone works differently. Always start by loving yourself. And don't let people get you down as well. Trust me, I've been there."

"I never thought about it in that way... thanks, Alfie."

He laughed. "Anytime, dudette. That's a hero's job. To help anyone in need."
