Venice, Northern Italy.
Your POV:
You were out in the city, in the middle of the night, making your way to a nice restaurant.
Upon entering, you were seated at a table by a waiter that seemed to be in a hurry.
Throughout the whole building, there were multiple waiters. You were waiting a long time to be served. You tried to get anyone's attention, but it didn't work. You got all your stuff together, slowly got up until...
His POV:
Arriving at my workplace, I came face to face with my boss. I work as a waiter for the afternoon, till late at night. Seeing that the restaurant was full, my boss grabbed me by the shoulders and yelled,
"Feliciano! I know you're usually a waiter and everything, but since the place is packed, we had to call in a few others to keep the place going, we're running low on chefs now! Go change and start cooking!" His face turning dark red with each word. I nodded and replied,
"Y-yes, sir!"
He walked towards the kitchen, leaving me. I went to the restroom and changed into a chef's uniform and headed straight for the kitchen.
>>>>>>
It's really late... and it's still crowded.
While I was finishing another dish, I looked through the small window in the door. Seeing how many people there were, one particular person caught my eye.
She's... so bella... (Beautiful in Italian or beauty. It all depends on you how you use the word 'bella'.)
She gathered up her stuff and was about to leave. I asked one of my coworkers to hold my position in for a minute while I helped out. I went to the restroom once more and changed into my regular waiter uniform, and headed straight to her table.
Your POV:
You got everything together, slowly got up, then, you see a waiter heading straight towards you. While the man was running, he slipped and crashed headfirst underneath the table.
"Oh my gosh! Are you okay?!" You asked worryingly.
You hear a thump under the table, he then emerged back up.
He had shiny auburn hair and a curl coming out from the left side of his head. And his eyes were closed for some reason.
"Sì! I am fine! I'm so sorry for making you wait! It's a little crowded here. Please don't leave!" He pleaded, gripping onto his notepad.
You sat back down. "It's fine."
"Ve~, so, what can I get for you today?" He asked with a big smile on his face, getting ready to write.
"Um, can I get [Insert your favorite Italian dish here]?"
"But of course! I'll be right back!"
He ran into the kitchen and about seven minutes had passed when he came back with the food. "Here you go! I hope you like it! Again, sorry for making you wait for so long!"
After that, he left and didn't return until you finished the food. By that time, the restaurant was about to close. He returned asking,
"So~, did you like it?"
"Liked it? No." He let out a very sad ve~ and looked down in shame.
"Just kidding, I loved it!" He looked back up with a huge smile.
"Really?!"
"Yes! It was so good! The texture, the flavor, everything! Who made it?" You asked.
"I did~." He proudly said.
"Really? Well, it was amazing! Now, can I have the check, please?"
"Sì!" He quickly handed you a piece of paper.
"Wait, this is not-" You were cut off by his boss,
"Feliciano! Closing time!" He shouted halfway across the restaurant.
"Well," He said, clapping his hands together. "I'm glad you enjoyed the meal! Again, sorry for the wait, it won't happen again." He reassured you while escorting you to the door.
"Wait! This isn't-" When you were outside, you turned around, he smiled at you and closed the door. You read the paper.
Dear bella,
I'm so so sorry for the long wait.
I wanted to make it up to you.
So, don't worry about the check.
I already paid it for you.
Have a nice night~.
Love, Feliciano.
And after the last sentence, a phone number was at the end.
