It was mid-day as Derp managed to sneak away from Ian's supervision and walked towards the nearby park to have some fun. When he made it to the park, he saw that it wasn't full which he was glad since he still feel uncomfortable around large crowd, though he could see some people by the lake. The fewer, the better for him.

He looked around, wondering of what to do at the park. 'What to do.....what to do' he thought as he was wondering around with a thoughtful expression.

As he was wondering around, he suddenly smelled chocolates close by which he looked around, searching for the chocolate when he finally found it.

He saw a median sized box that was next to a tree and when he walked towards the tree and looked around, he saw that the box was next to a lone man whom was reading a book.

Even though he wanted to ask the man for some candy, Derp was too shy and nervous to ask and simply stared at the box with a small pout. As he was staring, he didn't notice the man looked up form his book and looking at him, noticing him.

"Hey" Derp quickly jumped in surprise before focusing on the man, only for him to look up at Derp with his eyebrow raised, though Derp was slightly glad that the man didn't look mad for the staring.

"Is there something you need?" the man asked him causing Derp to start playing with the end of his right sleeve in nervousness. "U-Um..." Derp trailed off as his nerves started to catch up and bit his bottom lip before looking away. The man simply frown before sighing out and reached up, grabbing Derp's left hand, making him quickly look back at the man, "Come sit down" The man calmly said as he gently pulled Derp down beside him.

Once sitting down, Derp quickly pulled his knees up to his chest and hugged them, still feeling nervous though it wasn't too extreme as before.

"You're Ian's little brother, Derp" The man started saying making Derp turn to him and slowly nodding. "Y-Yeah" Derp said before looking away. "Mm..my name is Simon" the man, now named Simon, introduced himself before turning his attention back to his book.

Soon enough there was a peaceful silence between the two which made Derp slowly relax and rested his chin on top of his knees and closed his eyes, enjoying the breeze and the sound of the pages being turned. Though Derp quickly heard the sound of someone chewing on something hard and turn to look at Simon to see him putting another candy in his mouth.

Noticing his staring, Simon turn to look at Derp, "Do you want some?" Simon asked as he held out a handful of different kind of candies. Slowly nodding, Derp shakily reached out, grabbing a few candies before putting them in his mouth, enjoying the sweet taste and smiles.

Seeing his innocent smile, Simon silently moved the box over, placing it between them for easier access for Derp and went back to reading.

A few minutes had passed and when Simon turn to grab more candy, he instantly noticed that most of the chocolate was gone and turn to see Derp eating a Reese's cup with a blissful expression.

'He must really like chocolate' Simon thought with a chuckle before looking away, but before he could start reading again, he heard Derp sigh out and him moving a bit before yelping when Derp instantly move in the space between Simon's legs and wrapped his arms around his waist before burying his face in his stomach, snuggling him.

"D-Derp!?" Simon exclaimed with a small blush from the sudden contact though Derp simply let out a hum and snuggles closer, "So comfy" Derp mutter out before his breathing slowed down, signaling that he fell asleep.

Simon looked down at the sleeping man for a few seconds before sighing out, not having the heart to push him off and simply rested his right arm behind Derp's shoulder and ran his fingers through his hair with his left hand.

From that day, Derp had gain a new friend and an unofficial bodyguard.
