Lillianna and the Sand (1)

7: Jake

          Seeing her like that killed me. While Zizi was wiping her tears I pulled her into an embrace. She stiffened at first then melted into my arms. Before I could say anything we were pulled into a whirlpool. But the weird thing was there were swans making it. "Strix!" Zizi yelled. "Lily! Stop the whirlpool!" I yelled. I could see her trying to concentrate. "It's not working! Something is interfering!" She yelled back while sitting up. I suddenly got an idea. "Hey ducklings up here!" I screamed. They stopped swimming and the whirlpool stopped. They started towards our boat. I kept thinking dragon, until finally the change over took me. Zizi and Lily gasped but quickly regained their senses. I jumped into the air and roared as loud as possible. They swans turned toward me. The three of them giving me a death glare. I started shooting fire but they kept blocking by diving underwater.
           I tried one more time hoping to catch them by surprise but of course they went to dive under. I then saw they were stuck. I looked over at Lily and saw a murderous look on her face. "NOW!" She yelled. I breathed fire one more time but instead of burning them it didn't do anything. At that moment they jumped into the air flying towards me. Why did I forget that swans can fly. I kept trying to breath fire but it didn't do anything. That's when they came in for an attack and kept bitting at my skin. I started to feel nauseous. And that's when I saw hurricanes everywhere along with lightning. I saw Lily flying over her face red and her look evil. "GET AWAY FROM HIM!" She yelled. "STOP! OCEAN GIRL THEY'LL KILL YOU TOO!" I screamed at her. "GET TO ZIZI AND LEAVE!" She yelled back. "BUT-" I started, "NOW! DON'T ARGUE WITH ME BLOOD BOY! LEAVE!" She interrupted.
          I fly over to the boat and turned back into a human when I realized that my injuries were much more serious now. I looked over and saw something impossible the swans were dead and Lily looked crazy. "AHHH!" She released a war cry, which seemed to calm her down. She flew toward me looking worried. "Oh my gods, Jake you" She started but didn't finish. She was holding back tears. "I'm ok" I said as I grimaced. No I am not okay at all. "Jake!" She screamed.
         She turned away and turned back with ambrosia and nectar in her hands. "Here, take this. Eat some ambrosia and pour nectar on your wounds. It'll burn though." She said with no expression. I listened to what she said but instantly felt better. She looked at me with kindness and concern but I could still see a hint of craziness. What's wrong with her? "Hey, Ocean Girl what's wrong?" I asked afraid of her answer. "I don't know. There's something wrong with me." She replied now looking scared.
         "I just saw you dying and something clicked." She said trying to figure what was wrong. "At that moment I felt like I would kill anyone who came close to me or you." She thought a loud. "Ugh I don't know what's going on!" She almost yelled. "Hey you'll figure it out." I said with reassurance. "Whatever, also Blood Boy take a nap." She added. "Ok." I agreed. I started to drift off to sleep.
          In my dream I saw Lily in a place filled with nothingness. I think if I was looking at it in person I would probably die. "Madison, are you ready to go to Camp Halfblood?" A figure of darkness asked. "Of course Nyx!" the person called Madison replied. "Wait, someone is watching!" The figure Nyx said as I woke up drenched in sweat. "A nightmare?" A voice said. I turned around to see Zizi and glanced around for Lily. Zizi seemed to understand what I was doing. "Lily went to get food for us." Zizi answered my unspoken question. "Ok and also I don't think it was a nightmare I think it was a vision." I responded to her question.
          I couldn't stop thinking about the vision. Was that girl Lillianna? If so why was she called Madison? If that's not Lily then who is it? I can't be Lily she wouldn't do that but maybe it has something to do with the craziness. No! I refuse to believe it that is not Lily! I must've looked really mad because Zizi said "Are you ok?" I just nodded. Zizi kept bugging me to tell her about the vision but I couldn't. I would't! A few minutes later Lily came back.
         "Where did you get that?" I think I asked casually while pointing to the burgers. "From a burger store of course!" She responded. I was about to ask how then I realized she probably flew or swam. We all started eating while Zizi kept glaring at me. I think Lily noticed at some point. "Alright, you two I've had enough what's going on?" She asked annoyed. Before I could I lie Zizi answered "He had a vision and won't tell me what it was!" I saw Lily scowl at me. "You better tell me right now!" She screamed. "Fine I'll tell you!" I said putting the emphasis on you. "Alright go ahead then!" Zizi said. "I mean Lily only." I said. Zizi gave me a death glare and walked away. I told Lily all about my vision. In the end she looked shocked. "I don't think that's me." She thought aloud. "Of course it's not you!" I almost yelled which earned another glare from Zizi. "The person has a different name, it can't be you." I told her. "What if someone used Mist to look like me?" She said bringing up a good point. "Yeah you're right I didn't think of that!" I agreed.
           Zizi walked over to us. "Are you going to tell me now?" Zizi mumbled. "I can't I'm sorry." I said. Zizi looked disappointed but didn't argue. She got up to walk away. While Zizi was polishing her bow Lily and I kept talking.
           "So how long have you been a Praetor?" Lily asked. "Well only a year, and at first it was temporary but they saw I was a good leader so it became permanent." I replied. "What about Fionia?" She asked. "Half a year, and same scenario." I responded. "You know you never told me your last name." She said with a grin. "Well you never told me yours." I retorted. "Mine is Ace." She replied with a smirk. "Mine is Eliz." I responded with a grin.
           We kept talking for what seemed like ages. "How long do you think it will take to get there?" I asked. "3-5 days." She replied. "Oh ok. How are you feeling by the way?" I asked. "Better, but I can't stop thinking about your vision." She said. "I knew I shouldn't have told you." I mumbled. "No! You were right to tell me." She responded. "I don't know. I just gave you something big to worry about." I said. "It's fine honestly. Hey maybe my dad will know what it is!" She exclaimed. "Yeah maybe." I agreed.
            We stopped talking but I couldn't help thinking about her joining the hunters. I know she said no eventually but at first she didn't. Does that mean she doesn't like me? What if she likes Lucas or Max? I bet she likes Max. I mean he's a son of Zeus. "Hey Blood Boy what's wrong?" Lily interrupted my thought. "Oh nothing." I lied. "If nothings wrong then why does the boat look like a cloud?" She said knowing I was lying. "I don't want to talk about it." I replied. "Oh really!" She said her face changing from worry to determination.
           She gave me an intense glare and I shrunk. "What were you thinking about?" She asked. I had to come up with a good lie. "I uh was thinking about what would happen if we were caught in a storm." I lied.  "Uh huh. Well nothing would happen if I'm awake." She answered. "Ok but what if you're not?" I actually started to wonder. "Then wake me up!" She replied. "What if you don't wake up?" I asked. "I will! Gods Blood Boy you're so annoying!" She yelled. "Sorry Ocean Girl." I responded rubbing the back of my neck. "It's fine." She replied.
           We started to talk some more. "What do you think my dad will do?" She asked looking worried. "Hey I'm sure it'll be fine! I mean he wouldn't do anything bad to us." I replied. "Yeah but, what if he's not happy to see me?" She asked. "Of course he'll be happy to see you!" I responded but I wasn't sure.
           "Hey Ocean Girl?" I asked. "Yeah?" She responded. "Why didn't monsters attack you sooner?" I asked genuinely confused I mean she's really powerful. "Apparently my mom had asked Poseidon for a barrier." She answered. I could tell she was still nervous about meeting her dad. "Can I ask you a question?" Lily asked. "Yeah." I replied. "Do you-" she started to say but got interrupted by hurricanes? "What the Hades?" I almost screamed. Lily's face recovered from shock and turned pale. "What?" I asked worried. "More storm spirits." She replied. "How many?" I asked getting more worried. She gulped. "50." She answered. "50!" I yelled. "Oh boy we're toast!" I said. "No we're not! I have an idea!" She yelled and ran forward. "No!" I screamed but it was too late she was swept up by the hurricanes. I held back tears as I eventually charged forward not caring what happens to me. "Stop" I heard and realized it was Ocean Girl. I faltered and dropped to my knees she was covered in blood and bruises. My tears fell faster.
             I just sat there crying and I realized Zizi was missing. "Zizi!" I yelled. "Here!" She responded. I saw she was trying to keep the boat from tipping over. "Get over here and help me!" She screamed. I just nodded and ran towards her because if i said something I would burst into more tears.
