The last thing before waking up I remembered was a burst of darkness. "What's going on?" I asked Lily but when I opened my eyes I was in the Camp Halfblood infirmary. "He's awake." I heard Skylar shout. "Where's Lily? How did I get here?" I asked. Skylar looked sad and gestured for me to wait. Chiron came in along with Emma, Max, and Lucas.
"Lily shadow traveled you here then fell unconscious from the effort. At first we thought she was dead but her heart started beating. She's not breathing though. It's been a week since the winter solstice and she still hasn't woken up." Chiron explained. "Can I see her?" I asked and Chiron nodded. Lucas and Skylar helped me up and we went over to where Lily was. There was a bit of shadows coming off her. She looked peaceful and she was all cleaned up.
I was sitting for a few hours when Skylar said I should go back to my room in the infirmary and sleep. "Can't I change rooms so I can stay here?" I asked and Skylar nodded and left. A few minutes later some Apollo campers came in with a hospital bed. I laid down and fell asleep.
I was woken to someone shaking my shoulders. "It's Lillianna she's shaking!" An Apollo camper yelled. Immediately I shot up and ran over to her bed. "We think she's having a nightmare." An Apollo camper said. "How she's not breathing." Another replied. I then realized what was wrong I had been too tired to figure it out earlier.
"She's not having a nightmare. She's in a series of tests to see if she can be allowed to survive." I said and the Apollo campers looked confused. "Did you give her water?" I asked. "No, we gave her some ambrosia and nectar though." Skylar said as she was walking in. "Bring some water!" I said. "If ambrosia and nectar didn't do anything why should water?" Skylar argued. "It worked last time! Now get water!" I yelled getting frustrated and Skylar ran to get water. "Last time?" An Apollo camper asked and I nodded.
Skylar came back with water. I took it from her and poured it on Lily. After a few minutes Lily still didn't wake up. "See I told you it wouldn't work." Skylar said. "It should've!" I bit back and ran out. I ran all the way to the beach and sat down. The water hit my feet which reminded me of Lily.
                                       Lillianna
I suddenly remembered I needed to leave my tests. I didn't know what to do. I was trapped and I was running out of oxygen. I also couldn't shadow travel. If I had water I could breathe but there's no water in this jar. Could I make water? It couldn't hurt to try accept maybe I would die faster but I didn't have any better ideas.
I focused on memories of water. The smell of the sea, the sound of the current in the river, and the feeling of water running down my body during a shower. Suddenly my breathing was normal again and I opened my eyes. The jar was filled with water. Now I could breathe while I figured out how to escape.
Suddenly a figure entered the jar. It was a monster. I quickly defeated it but more kept coming somehow. I need to get out fast. The water was turning red from my blood. What if I burst the jar with the water pressure? I focused on adding more water to the jar. I felt my heart being crushed and realized that the water I was summoning couldn't get out so it was being pushed back in. I kept fighting the monsters and the jar. Eventually the glass cracked and I kicked it. The jar broke and all the water burst out. I quickly let all the water back inside me.
I still had to fight monsters to escape the room. I couldn't get into my frenzy, I didn't have Riptide, and I couldn't shadow travel. What I could do was summon lightning now that I was free. Soon the monsters were dead and I was waking up. Please let Jake be alive.
I shot up and all the Apollo campers were staring at me. "It did work." An Apollo camper said and Skylar looked embarrassed. "Where's Jake? Is he ok?" I asked immediately. "He's fine, he woke up yesterday which was the week after the winter solstice. He's the one who had the idea to pour water on you." Skyler responded. "Where's Jake then?" I asked. "Well after a few minutes of pouring water on you, you didn't wake up so I told him I knew it wouldn't work and he got mad. I don't know where he went." Skylar answered and I knew that's why she was embarrassed.
I think I know where he went through. I started to summon the shadows but Skyler yelled "Stop!" And grabbed me. "What the Hades!" I almost yelled. "You would die!" She said. "This only happened to me because I shadow traveled from a different plane! I haven't shadow traveled that much that I was fading into the shadows!" I retorted. "Still no shadow traveling for a day." Skylar said and I glared but nodded. I stormed down to the beach before anyone could protest me leaving the infirmary.
As I arrived I saw Jake about to cry and scowling while playing with the water. "Blood Boy!" I yelled and his expression softened and he turned around. "Ocean Girl! You're awake Lily!" He yelled and we ran toward each other. He pulled me into an embrace. "Oh by the way your idea worked it's just that it took me a while to pass the last test after you poured the water on me." I said. "I knew it!" He said and I kissed his cheek. He blushed and I buried my face in his shoulder so he wouldn't see me blush too. "Thank you for saving me." I said and he kissed me on the cheek making me blush more. "Thank you for saving me first." He replied and I nodded after I stopped blushing.
"Not to ruin the moment but I'm leaving tomorrow to go to my dad's palace." I said hiding my face in his shoulder so I couldn't see his face. "I understand, I have to get to Camp Jupiter Fiona and Nadia said they need me and Skylar. Come visit though." He replied and I looked up and nodded.
